Lategame unit is tlalocs =P
Speakin of which, I just played an excellent earth FFA involving quite a bit of Tlalocs. (Yes, China has conquered the world before and North America, but this is unrelated)
INTRODUCTION
Each of the six powers competing for world domination sent their meager forces from Antarctica. The Aztec Empire, ruled by Emperor Lloyd, went to eastern North America. The Dutch Colony settled in western North America, led by Lieutenant Champoflight. The Japanese Army landed in Northern Europe and were commanded by Colonel Florian. The Portuguese Empire built in Africa, led by General Molionia. The Chinese went to China and India, naturally, with the Iroquois League to the south of them in Australia, ruled by Chief Emem.
PART I-The Battle for North America
The Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese all built up rapidly and powerfully. The Iroquois were off to a shaky start in small Australia.
General Lord Berminator and Lieutenant Champoflight allied about a week after General Molionia and Emperor Lloyd had allied. When conflict erupted between the Dutch and the Aztecs, General Berminator financially backed the Dutch, but when the Aztecs began to overrun their town, the Chinese forces sailed around Africa and up the Atlantic to assist the Dutch. However, the Aztecs were flooding North America. They beat off the original Chinese force, and as Berminator prepared to send a full scale army and have a forward base built, they received word that the Aztecs were going to call on the Portuguese for help.
PART II-The South American Expedition
Reluctantly, General Berminator ordered the remaining Chinese forces in North America to retreat. After sending back all their money to China, the Dutch surrendered. As the Chinese war junk Nan Shuin with the retreating Chinese troops passed South America, it came under attack by the Portuguese navy. Quickly, they hit the coast of Brazil, where they clambered off the Nan Shuin just in time to see their ship sink behind them. They quickly ran into the covers of the jungle to escape the Portuguese ships' cannons.
The stranded soldiers, consisting of one qiang pikeman, three arquebusier rifelmen and two chu ko nu crossbowmen explored South America. They found an Incan village as well as plenty of treasures guarded by animals and wild natives.
Back in Asia, Chinese spies received word about the Nan Shuin incident through the Portuguese. Immediately, General Berminator sent the war junk King Yuan to reinforce the stranded soldiers and give them supplies. The Yuan barely got through the Portuguese blockade, but was able to outrun it and make it to into the Pacific. A few days later, another vessel was sent, the more powerful fuchuan Yung Pao with some builders and a couple more reinforcements and supplies. Soon, a small colony was being developed in South America.
PART III-The Assault on Australia
Two months had passed in the war for world domination. The Aztecs were recovering from the battles with the Dutch and were scattering themselves all around North America. The Portuguese were rapidly expanding across the Mideast and Africa. The Chinese were taking control of all eastern and south Asia, including Japan and some of Indonesia. And the Iroquois in Australia were about to be thrown into conflict with the more poweful Japanese Army from Northern Europe.
Although it seemed that the Aztec-Portuguese alliance was going to target China, it was a shock when General Molionia ordered the Portuguese army to march north against the Japanese when they heard that Colonel Florian was mercilessly attacking the weak Iroquois and Chief Emem.
Head Monk Anich and his Asian/European Exploration Corps assisted a bit at first in attacking any Japanese outposts, but soon stopped when the Portuguese began firing at them on sight. Although Australia was severly damaged, the Japanese were eventually trapped in southern Europe and Greenland by the Portuguese, their original city in Scandinavia reduced to a smoking heap of rubble and corpses half-buried in snow and ash, causing a nasty mix similar to the devil's body odor to hang in the air over the eerie scene of destruction.
PART IV-The Portuguese/Aztecs vs the Chinese/Iroquois
The Portuguese rapidly built all over western Africa and Europe. Their navy swarmed the Indian Ocean and south Atlantic. The Aztecs had complete control of North America and swarmed the Pacific and north Atlantic with their own fleet.
A. A New Alliance
General Lord Berminator realized that he would soon be under total siege by the Portuguese and Aztecs as he received reports from his spies in the war room. he sent a message to the Iroquois Chief Emem, explaining that once China had fallen, the Portuguese and Aztecs would consume Australia within a week. Emem replied that while he barely had anything but a large fleet of quick canoes, he would ally with Berminator.
B. The Evacuation of South America
The Aztecs were already tearing down the South American colony. However, most of the garrison escaped; half went in a few canoes and went across the south Atlantic and Indian Ocean while avoiding the Portuguese Armada, while the other half went in the Yung Pao and went west into the Pacific. The King Yuan was blasted to smithereens.
The Yung Pao conducted several successful raids in the undefended Alaskan waters against the Aztec fishing ships, and even landed its half of the garrison to kill dozens of villagers in western Canada. But under the pursuit of the Aztec warriors as well as the incoming fleet of canoes, the garrison reboarded the Pao and sailed through the Northwest passage and the North Arctic Sea to China.
However, the Aztec army in south America had also accidently left a western Chinese dock standing. As the entire Aztec fleet was now foolishly heading north to follow the Yung Pao, dozens of fire junks were rapidly put together at the dock and sent to take out well over half the Aztec fishing operation in the Pacific. It made a considerable dent in the Aztecs economy.
C. The Portuguese go Bankrupt
While things were looking grim in Asia with Head Monk Anich and his diciples captured and a literal Portuguese fortress spanning west Asia and Europe, General Molionia was in truth having economical trouble with all the heavy invesments made on the dozens of bases and fortifications and troop supplies to ensure the end of China. As the bombardment of the Great Wall of China began, the bold Chinese forces rushed out to meet them. British consulate allies, Russian heavy cannons, flying crows, hordes of meteor hamemrs and iron flails fought back. The Chinese and Aztec water forces united to attack the Portuguese fishing ships as well as navy. With the economy in ruins and widespread chaos on the water and the powerful Aztec fleet still on the other side of the world trying to protect their own fishing ships, General Molionia was forced to surrender his bankrupt nation.
D. Quick Victory
The Chinese and Iroquois had narrowly avoided a certain death. The Portuguese would easily have been able to defeat them had Molionia not wasted so much. The same could be said about Emperor Lloyd, minus the economy part. The Aztecs could have defeated the Chinese and Iroquois with little challenge, however after seeing their fishing operations in pandemonium and the strengthening naval forces of the enemy alliance, CHeif Lloyd surrendered. After five months of global fighting, the Chinese and Iroquois had won the world.
NOTES-
Yellow (Dutch) was my friend outside of game, which was why I allied with him. He hasn't been on in a WHILE, however, and was a little rusty so he couldn't beat off the Aztecs at all.
Pink (Aztecs) was an idiot, to put it plainly. It took him forever and a half to realize my fire ships were raping his fishing ships, and the guy sent his ENTIRE navy to get my one ship that was doing minor raids in the north.
Red (Japanese) was a noob basher and a Buddha lamer, surprise surprise. He kept on justifying his bashing of the Iroquois, but the Portuguese wouldn't hear any of it and finally got him to resign after ten mintues of trying to rebuild.
Yellow (Portuguese) was cool, even though he was my enemy. He lagged out at the end, which was a shame, cuz it could've beena very fun battle, even if it was likely to end in my defeat. Same said about pink-that could've been a potentially fun war at the end, too.
Blue (Iroquois) was a nice ally and an okay player. I think red also got him a little in the beginning besides the mid-game bash, but his instant canoes were very useful in our breif war with yellow and pink.
Fun FFA for the msot part
I enjoyed putting in the whole detail with ship names for the South American colony and whatnot haha
