I think it was a great Idea for the special name thing at the start.
Now it's more of a joke, with people writing semi-useless guides that offer nothing new to the table. Sure they might help very new people, but there is no real work in this. With ES closing and having to make a fan patch, you can tell aoe3 is dying, so guides for new people will become more and more useless.
Go ahead and give people new titles to give them self esteem. We know who the real contributors are by the way they post and the originality of their ideas. Some of the people who have received special names are really deserving of that title, like UGMO. And even if he didn't get a special name, people would still see him as a great content contributor.
That is what separates 'guidemakers'. Good contributors don't need a special name, people just recognize that they are.
