3.french- 5hussar age up ff
4.japanese-spam lots of ashi.
Also is it a good idea to put warhuts, castle or outpost on a herd of animals or will they just find my fb and kill it.
Thats all i need help with make sure u guys post.

i dont really use map control for animals that much i mainly use it for so my opponent has no stuff and dies.
also the idea of spreading units around the map is kinda fail..... it ll just let people own my quality resources spend on my units. The idea of putting walls is awesome and i put 600 or 700wood or 100wood in my deck and i spend that when i start to loose map control with the wood i build warhut/outpost and another defense buildings. Is that a good idea?

map control is about not allowing your opponet to go anywhere. That means build walls at choke points. Be aggresive throughout the game. Raid. outposts near villies and far away mines. if your lameing and you lose its probably due to the fact they hid villies and rebuilt infastructre, and you ignored taking 2 or 3 villies off of army to go scout a little.

Don't expect to get map control ffing until you have the upper hand military wise at fort, then just look around the map, and kill whatever buildings/ units are far from the main tc.
With french, I am not too big on ff's but I usually start with cav, and raid any villies that are being used for villies first then making 2 groups of 5 cav or 4 cav and sending 1 group of cav to go attack whatever villies are near the tc and when the opponent garrisons them, run them away to the opposite direction that they entered (but not too far, just out of their los) and then send 2nd group of cav to the same spot and repeat, if u keep doing this, while he might not be loosing villies, he wont be gathering resources and then you send 700 wood (after 4 villies) and get a rax up (or 2 if u wanna go xbows or if he already has 2 raxes up) and outspam him.
With french its ez for map control cuz upgraded villies beat pikes/ rods/ and even xbows +muskets if they have a meatshield (ur cav and if u make muskets).
Or if you are going plain muskets or xbows + pike, and you get rushed, repel the rush with your army + upgraded villies and then counter attack immediatley with like 5-7 villies + your army at their fb, and if they don't have any units to defend their fb, gather from their herds while your army sieges.

I have never played TAD or TWC, but in my opinion, the best civ for map control is Port (Free tc to put near far out resources, and immediately creating builders.)
