Well I don't have screen shots but the scenarios are in the download section--what do you guys think of my eye-candy in my "The Great War" campaign?

@Yuttho:
I saw those, they were freaking awesome! You should post a couple more like those.

In other news.
I was reading some stuff about Leipzig and I felt a little inspired to do a skirmish shot:

What, my campaign? No one barely makes reviews like they used to do in the old days. Within like a few hours or a day, your scenario has been reviewed. Hopefully Verdun gets a 5 lol.

Anyways, I'm terrible at taking close-up pictures on AoE3.

A fairly tranquil one but to get the sky proper, I had to put several skyboxes into the background, then I just photoshopped the shit out of the sky. Regardless, it added a pretty nice distance effect right there so here it is.

This last one's not so hot. It looks really photoshopped, for lack of a better word. I like the foreground, but I think in this case I would have just taken a photograph of the Chinese mountains and used that as my sky box OUTSIDE of the game.

edit: Someday after I upgrade my computer and get a graphics card, I will show you what I mean. Basically you can select all the black sky-area in your screenshots and replace it with an image of a skyline of your choice. You can use Photoshop for this, or if you are poor and/or live in residence, you can download the trial for GIMP and try using that instead.

Thanks for the critique. Well, I'm already thinking of making a new picture or two since now I have a winter break, I got all the time in hell. I got an idea revolving around the Sudanese (likely to consist of Indian irregulars and thugs or something) fighting against the Anglo New Model Army (which unit should be the base model? Read up on the New Model Army and suggest) all up in the desert.
However, I would like some inspiration for it and maybe a new idea for a picture.
When do you think you can show me that skyline thing? This would save me so much time and I could pump twice the amount of pictures.

I'll try and crank out an example today.

Sudan: I was actually thinking of doing an Egypt scenario with the Mahdi army and the British with some pyramids in the background. Sadly none of the awesome AOK or AOM props will transfer into AOE3.

Download and install Reyk's Editor Add-on for AOE3/TWC/TAD, or look through the Miscellaneous files for the prior versions of the same plugin that fits AOE3 only, or AOE3 + TWC.

Free camera movement without having to leave the Editor is part of it.

Do you think we should do the CSC (Continuous Screenshot Competition) like AOM and Spore? It could work and I'm online virtually everyday.

You're active, but not many other people will bother to enter. SD is too slow. Really, you, me, and As_Saffah are the only people who make screenshots right now, and I don't even make that many. Unless we could stir up interest among the multiplayer people or get new members, it'd fall on its face.

Wow, very well done. I think maybe the Battle of the Beasts could have been a bit better. Maybe have the bear standing and the wolves running at it? Just thought it would add to the effect, without the name you wouldn't even know they were gonna fight.
EDIT: Oh wow, BurningSushi I didn't even notice that was you, (I'm used to your own profile pic) I thought we had a new awesome screenshot'er. Keep up the good work like you've been doing then!

The setting is pretty good, but the problem with it is that there is little dramatic flair for such a piece. (I can instantly tell you played Call of Duty: World at War).

The picture itself is boring, no decoration, low graphics, all these are necessary for a good piece. A good idea would be to spice up the pic with small objects like debris and maybe little plants in craggy areas, the occasional fire, etc. If your computer is slow when turned to high end graphics like mine, work in low shader settings until its time to take a screenshot, then set the graphics to as high as your computer can process, lock the screen in place and snap.

I can tell that with just a little more work put into the pictures, you can make some very fine eye candy.

Snap, that's a really well-done revamp. TAD designer's mod doesn't work now ever since 1.01a so you have to use the TWC designer's mod. TWC hasn't had any updates so you can just do that.

Also, I have others created that I will post at some point. I went to the guild, it looks pretty dead. Do you know anything about that?

Bottom one is my fav, unfortunately though, you and I were late for the party. Pretty much all of the designers have upped and left. Places like Liquid Fire Studios have stopped and the eye candy guild is just plain out dead. Several times I and a few other faithful attempted to revive the dead with no luck.
