Generated mod:

Just copy the new techtreey.xml file in your data folder and run from popmodlauncher.exe
ONLY if it does NOT work: Copy popmodlauncher.exe to the game folder and/or try to run as Administrator.
ONLY if you wish to start the game manually or from another application: forget about the launcher and use popmodtrainer.exe.
(The launcher and/or the trainer might be detected as virus (false positive): I'm willing to release the source code if moderators ask.)

The game executable WILL NOT be modified, just restart the game to revert the changes.

You should be able to mod any techtreey.xml as long as the civs have not been modified. Do not apply the patch twice to the same file.

So if I understand this correctly you have to create a modified techtreey.xml with popmodlauncher, and then run popmodtrainer whilst playing the game?

the trainer is an ALTERNATIVE to the launcher: don't use it unless you need to let another application run the game.
popmodlauncher will run the game and patch its memory, then it will close when the game is closed.
popmodtrainer will stay open and patch any running instances of the game as it founds them.

What language did you use to make this (just curious)?

Italian. Or at least, that's his Windows version.

Ontopic: Should I add this to the Tutorial Database?

Sioux should work now.
The program is written in C++ and compiled with MinGW (GCC).

Don't you love non-programmers?

And thanks nicifer. :P

Very funny. Sure, that wasn't my most clever remark ever, but you could have been more precise! :P
