I actually don't really know why I'm a moderator here. Cheesecake decided to add me to the list before he left just because I post here.
I called him cheesecake because that's what Firefox told me his name should be spelled liked.

We've been over this. I added you to this forum at the last minute so I could call in favors if need be, and so that the old salooners would still be represented. Corruption? Of course it was!
Well, otherwise Kivlov would be the only moderator that actually frequents the Saloon nowadays, and even Kivlov isn't here all the time anymore. We'd probably be invaded by Stronghold Heaven seraphs or something weird like that.

I'm still waiting for my email with the seraph offer, cheesecake (I agree with Elpea on this one. Cheesecake is a superior name).
Where be your gibes now? your gambols? your songs? Your flashes of merriment, that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning?

I'm on the last stretch of work trying to finish the last 100 computers we have so between my usual 8 hours, 4 hours over time and reading Game of Thrones, I don't have much time to be posting until school starts on the 8th.

Holy crap. Look at the email I just got from my Micro professor:
From: Gladys Marie Alexandre-Jouline Sent: Thu 9/3/2009 4:52 PM To: "Microbiol31000001FA2009" Cc: Subject: Reading assignment posted and other precisions: Microbiol31000001FA2009
Dear Micro 310 students,
I have posted yet another reading assignment for your enjoyment under "assignments". Let me remind you that reading these will help you learn the material and may be helpful since some exam questions, without being specifically about what you have read, may use the information that you are supposed to be reading.
Talking of exam, please do not learn name of microorganisms or any other numerical data that are shown in the book as examples.
In chapter 7, you do not have to learn material about how to count microorganisms or the chemostat.
hth!
She just used hth. But without a secondary hth, how do I know if she thinks I am a hottie, or if she just hopes she is being helpful?

Indeed, this is the first question to be addressed

She's like a...7/10 for her age, but given that she is 40ish, that makes an adjusted 5/10 from out perspective.
Also, she's French. However, she also took half a point off of one of my quizes today because I thought siderophores transported Iron AND other metals.
A 7/10 for her age is probably enough for hth to mean hottie to hottie, especially considering the wealth of experience she could bring to the table (or the bed).
I thought siderophores transported Iron AND other metals.
what the **** kind of nonsense do you chemistry people learn?

Or the lab bench!
*ba-da-ching*
EDIT: a Siderophore is usually a long or bulky molecule (not a protein, a mix of amino groups and carbohydrates from what I can tell), that is used to transport iron to bacteria. Also, I'm a biochemist!
