There was a unanimous decision to just continue this one rather than start a new one.
continue FOREVER
My gosh everyone's old now. I am surprised there's still activity in this place.

btw i'm still playing kerbal space program regularly.

i love this game so much.
I'm waiting for a sale as it seems a bit pricey on Steam at the moment, still enjoy playing the demo version from time to time though.

This month I have mostly been playing Zelda Breath of the Wild
Steam - Maffia GFWL - Maffia01 YouTube - HGMaffia Twitter - @HGMaffia
Age of Empires 3 Heaven Seraph

i think the price is only going to go up in the near future. it's still in development, and i think their goal is to gradually increase the price until release.

idk for sure though. i know it was 18 when i started playing the demo, and it went up to 23 just before i decided to buy (but i bought it anyway because it's worth it). i still haven't transferred it over to steam yet; not sure if I want to do that or not.

It's £18 here, which is getting on for the price of a AAA game here (£20-25 for PC) I hate steam pricing :S

Actually looks like it's only £14 direct from the dev, that's a bit more tempting...

i don't think so any more. if you bought it before it went on steam, then you can get a steam key, but if you buy it now from the dev i'm not really sure you can get one.

steam actually got me into playing games again after not playing much for a few years. getting popular games a few years later for a few bucks is pretty awesome.

1-2yo games for £5 or less is great, most of the AAA games I buy these days are through Steam sales, I keep buying old games that I played growing up during Steam and GoG sales too.

I just wish GoG had a client like Steam does, not sure how that would work with the DRM free thing though.

What advantage does the client bring? Do you mean in respect to having friends and matchmaking etc? Cos I don't really find GoG any more difficult to use than steam - I'm just browsing to a website to check my library rather than opening an app.

Which is probably a good thing cos sometimes steam takes forever to open.

Well the main advantage would be a desktop shortcut reminding me that I have a GoG account with a load of unplayed games on it

I just like the convenience of Steam TBH, if the GoG downloader (that I discovered existed yesterday) could pull in a list of games I owned (and had installed, although that would probably be more difficult) that would probably do me, what with game updates not being such an issue with a lot of GoGs catalogue.

Half Life two was the last serious game I played so I think I installed steam for that because I had to for the copy protection but I otherwise never used it.

I thought the days of human beings calling other human beings "it" were long behind us... but not in OD!

And before you go mitigating this I know who Nat is and what she's done.

Well, to be honest, one poster counts for a much larger percentile of the traffic here than he or she used to.

Meh, OD IS pretty conservative with some views. There was the thread on gay marriage (or something, I can't remember the original topic really) and Sass said something along the lines of "you should expect a bit of abuse as a bisexual, you need to be thick skinned and not whine about it." Whether its technically good advice or not is beside the point, its still a pretty terrible point of view to have, and this is from Sass who is normally awesome.

EDIT:
Also, in the Nat thread - the defense is "we called nat s/he or it before because she pretended to be a girl, so I'm not going to stop now." I think this is possibly fair. However, it's not clear to new guys (or myself, in fact) that it's not gone onto "we called nat s/he before and NOW SHE'S CHANGING GENDER which is mad haha, lets pick on her for it," especially in the case of some of CVs posts.

FWIW nick, Findiil (who you quoted) was being sarcastic with his "yeah well i hate her so ill call her it" post.

Yeah basically don't take anything Findil or Morgoth says in OD with anything less than a pinch of salt because most of the time they are being very sarcastic.

I think Sass' point reflects more on the fact that bisexuals DO get some abuse in modern society. I think rather than Sass' actual views on the subject, he feels that Bisexual's who try and fight back will find it very difficult to do so and it would be a better option to just bite the bullet and develop a thick hide.

Overall, I feel he means that rather than taking it because you have to, the general consensus of modern society means that fighting against that view is a losing battle and it's pointless wasting the energy to try and fight it.

Personally, I have nothing against any person's sexuality unless it becomes peverse.

EDIT - CV also fits into Morg's and Findil's catergory.

I'd have put CV closer to Eph TBH, just with marginally more awareness of what is and isn't acceptable and a lot less preaching.

The whole s/he had been acknowledged that given the hormone therapy it was probably a good idea to stop as it could be misconstrued when it looked more like a genuine thread, that was until Dimitrios turned up and decided to make it an issue again.

And frankly Tryhards phrasing can be odd at the best of times, so I'm sure that him using it isn't intended as a slight or anything.

That's not to defend anyone that should know better though.

But as Jax said there are some pretty conservative view in OD, although most people are quite good at staying out of threads they know will cause issues.

It's not fair to lump Coldviper with Eph.

Coldviper is young, (17) and half the time it's just him trolling.

Ephestion is just pure scum.
