(This is a cinematic)
Backround:
A series of southern-midwest colonies are being attacked by an unknown force of large numbers. So far nothing has been able to stop them until now. Lt. Cooper (nothing to do with the single player campaign)is in charge of the garrison of one such colony. The aforementioned force had climbed a nearby hill and begun shelling the town. Cooper was able to rally his forces and succesfully destroy all of these cannon. After taking defensive postions on the hill, he spotted a large force coming his way. A messenger was sent out for reinforcements. in response, Lt. Bolivar (again, no reference to single player campaign, I just used the same names) is coming with his cavarly and infantry units. Will he be in time? Download to find out.
Notes:
-This is my first attempt with the scenario editor, and I am open to all suggestions
-I have been working on this a long time, so hopeully there will be no bugs
-This scenario requires a good computer to run, if yours runs slowly please do not give a bad review
-Over 115 triggers, this has a lot of time put into it, so put some thought into the reviews ;)
-I would like to add music, but I do not know how to set the music modds, does anyone know the ID #'s?
-Enjoy!
ANNOUNCEMENT:
THIS IS A CINEMATIC, NON-PLAYABLE SCENARIO. ANYONE WHO GIVES IT A 1 IN PLAYABILITY OR OTHER CATEGORY FOR THIS REASON SHALL BE HANGED, DRAWN, AND QUARTERED. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Let me start with if you have seen my other reviews i am picky at what i see but not rude. I want to point out that i saw almsot nohting wrong i had to replay it 5 to 6 times to be sure but there is somethings like the calvery. They all dont attack right away they get counght up in the trees. but that is the only reason for not geting a 5 from me this was a great map to watch and enjoy i could read everything well and it stayed up there long enough for even the slowest readers wich is needed because we all cant read at the same speed.
Balance: 5
The balance was The best i have seen so far from a aoe3 custom map. both teams were evenly mached but it was a close out come. I cant say more with out being a spoiler of this map
Creativity: 4
Great creativity from what the people did and what the people said and the actions you made them do and when there are alot of little things in this map that made it fun to watch.
Map Design: 5
I had to give you a 5 in map design because when the movie played there were 100s of little things that made the map truly unique.
Story/Instructions: 5
For a movie this is a hard one to judge but the story line was complete so i gave you a great score.
Additional Comments:
I cant wait to see how the battle ends where is the cannon i want to see :) I will be waiting for the 2nd part of this map if there is not one well still a great map it makes me wonder what is gona happen next.

This is a great idea and a good movie. Please take the critiques I m about to give as constructive criticism in addition to a hearty, well done! The cinematic, on my computer was somewhat jerky and not very smooth, particularly when zoomed in. I run a 3.0 ghz, 2 gb dual channel RAM machiune with a 256Mb GForce Nvidia graphics card. It should be smoother and could be accountable to the way the panning/zooming tracked. In addition, there was no voice/sound for the narration and a truly 5 star cinematic would have that I felt. Finally, when leaving the scene of the main battle and going to the reinforcements, the amount of time to get to the actually reinforcement was, to me, far too long. I was left wondering for a few seconds what was going on and so that span could be shortened up. If I could give a 3.4 or 3.5, I would, but that option is not available to me.
Balance: 4
The force balance was pretty good. I ran the thing five or six times and the outcomes remained the same, but were still a little differnt each time as to numbers of friends/enemy that were killed. Sometimes, when Cooper's and Bolivar's forces won too quickly, it made for longer pauses in the action so the balance could be fine tuned.
Creativity: 5
Very good story. I liked the entiore idea of the fight, the reinforcements, the withdrawal, the reinforcements coming in and then being aided by the returning forces.
Map Design: 4
Good eye-candy and terrain. Could be a little more underbrush and other "life-like" objects around the river, the crossing, and along the route of advance of the reinforcements.
Story/Instructions: 3
Again, the text messages were pretty good, but there were some pauses and/or too long time spans that could cause a person to wonder what was going on. First time around it did me. In addition, I would really suggest coming up with some sound files to accompany the text narration. Particularly at the end, even some text indicating "the end of part one" or something would clear up some confusion.
Additional Comments:
I downlaeded this and ran it five or six times before reviewing. I also read all of the comments here before doing so. I am reviewing it strictly as a cinematic. All in all a LOT of potential here, particularly if there is a follow on.

I liked the idea of an army deffending a hill and are reinforced by calvary, cannons, etc. Some times your Hussars would get caught up in a bunch and there wouldbe two or three Hussars acually fighting. maybe you could take out some of the Hussars, and bulk up the infantry. i didn't see anything wrong with the infantry. One thing i didn't get was in the begining, you had a river with wrecked ships in it and mortars on the cliff, the mortars weren't included in the cinematic.
Balance: 5
Very nice. One thing i liked about what you did here was you made it look as though the deffenders on the hil had been fending off the enemy for days with the casualities ( talk more about in creativity)
scattered around the hill. THe deffenders had a small force which were reinforced just as hope was slipping away. It had me at the edge of my seat pondering in my thoughts who would win. each force was greatly balanced.
Creativity: 5
I liked your idea of the town and how you ( not to be rude) carelessly laid down city streets, then filled it with rubble. The hill was cool how you had supplies, (crates of food, wood, etc.) tents, the stone walls, and casualties. I used your ruind city ideea in one of my scenarios.
Map Design: 5
I can't say much for this, other than the town was amazingly realistic, with the rubble in the streets and buildings burning. The reason why i gave you the 5 was for the eyecandy you included too, without it you would of had, well you know :P
Story/Instructions: 5
Great story. I liked the dialog how the Leutenit was flustered trying to defend the hill. No instructions needed for a cinematic scenaio. I don't remeber any enemy characters in your cinematic, which was no problem at all and didnt deduct your rating. I think the idea of having a doth 2 is a good idea seeing how the story did not end (another part i liked.) In all this was enjoyable
Additional Comments: I've seen doth 2, its even better than doth 1! lol
