Just install and you can play with dead bodies staying 15 minutes on the ground.
A backup of your original proto.xml called proto.xml.bak is found in data folder of AOE3.
This mod was created with version 1.09 of AOE3 running on my machine. I don't not guarantee the function of this mod generally. Perhaps with other versions of the game also the likeliness of a problem is higher. But I think it'll work on any machine whith AOE3 running on it.
There are some other problems with performance of the game maybe if there are too many dead bodies on the battlefield but that depends on the used computer and it's cofiguration.
There are perhaps problems with some units disappearing nevertheless.
how can this file be ONLY for vanilla. twc is everything vanilla is and more. if it works on vanilla, it works on twc

i don't have twc so i don't know if there's an own proto.xml for it or if the new units are in the proto.xml of aoe3. but if here are new units in twc they'll not stay on the battlefield.

If you are able to make this mod for the vanilla AOEIII you can for the expensions as wel, yes? If I e-mail you the proto's of the expensions can you make a dbs mod for those? If you like you can teach me what to do, and I'll just do it myself.
p.s. excuse my English
