Cinematic - The Last Scenario Designer

Author File Description
File Details
Game Version: TWC
This is a cinematic and NOT a playable scenario. It is a humorous movie about 15 minutes long about a last scenario designer and his fight against ES (Ensemble Studios) to bring back scenario designing. You should enjoy this cinematic even if you know nothing about scenario designing! Features stunning eyecandy and cinematography, building mashing, humorous dialog, and more!
This cinematic was made to encourage scenario designing and in hope that ES will fix some of the bugs in the editor.

Commando730 hey, any chance that you can post the map template for that awesome ES fort? let me know if u can

I guess it's time to post here again. Thanks for the reviews ImperialLord, SharpShooter99, and Commando730. I'm glad you all liked it.

SharpShooter99-I'm glad it made you want to design, that was part of the point of this after all. More people designing is always good :)

Commando730-Yes, that battle scene was based on Lord of the Rings. While making the whole cinematic I was looking forward to seeing how that battle turned out, it definitely was interesting to make. To see the fort open the cinematic in the editor, then you can see how it was made. I spent a few days building the thing, and your welcome to use it for inspiration.

Voice acting + updates are still in progress, I'll have more time this summer and I'll try to get it done as soon as possible
SharpShooter99 yeah, hopefully you remember me from the past with the AoE3 WW2. I quit the game and i got bored, came back on and saw urs and i was like holy crap, im comin back to designing! ^^

Awesome cinematic, really enjoyed watching it. Dialogue sometimes running a bit fast and i would miss things said if i was looking at the scenery and what was happening, also miss seeing some good scenery while concentrating on the dialogue. I like to take my time and enjoy it rather than skim read and glance, looking forward to when you start implementing sound files to characters speech.
Made me smile in places and laugh but i found some of the jokes and scenes a bit silly.

This must have taken you a great deal of time even if you are good with triggers. I'm just starting with designing scenarios, I'm making 2 adventure/rpg's now and i hope you don't mind if i take a peek at your triggers and learn a few tricks.

My thanks for making an awesome cinematic

E Prime It doesnt seem to work for me. I keep getting this message when trying to load the game:

Scenario: The Last Scenarion Designer Cannot Load

It keeps popping that message up and I have checked everything and also the location of the files as the insturctions said and it still does not appear to work. Please help since i am afraid that it may not work for other scenarioes also. :(
Me the Great very nice. how do you set camera pitchis

Sorry, I've been a bit busy lately and haven't had a chance to reply, I didn't realize it had been so long. Thanks for the reviews everyone, glad you all liked it :D

As for some of the more recent questions

E Prime - Make sure the game is fully updated to the latest patch. Note that if you have the Mac version of AOE3 I believe it is incompatible due to the patches being slightly different.

Me the Great - Download Reyk's editor to set camera pitch. He recently released a new version, with lots of useful features.

Unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time lately, but I have a slightly updated version almost complete with a few fixes, so I'll try to update it shortly. Also I'm beginning work on what will hopefully be a very cool RPG, more on that soon once I get a bit more done on it.
