The Tulum War:
A random map script for AOE3:
by Dany...
This is my 48th rms map...(only a 2 players map...)
Description:
It is a very simple large map...with an Yucatan rms style...
A long piece of land with a sea on each side...
the sea contain fishes...and whales...
also 2 large forests...and a lots of small bunch of Trees...
It has 4 medium Moutains...and 2 small Moutains...
It has 6 Native Tribes...the Aztecs...
and some Capybaras and a few Tapir to hunt...
also a few Sheeps to capture...
and some random berrybush to get fruits from...
also a fair amount of nuggets...all over the map...
and then a few gold mines here and there:
and finally a lot of resources...
Have some fun....
Feedback appreciated!
Dany....
PS: I managed to get the AoE3 Debugger working
and there are no bugs...
PS: Many thanks to RF_Gandalf for his precious help...
PS: This map was conceived just for 2 players...
PS: Many Thanks to Ensemble for creating this nice game...
"Yucatan" - brazilian?
"Mesas...and 2 small Mesas" - are you sure it's... brazil?
"Incas" - brazil?
"Mooses" - are you sure?
"Sheeps" - keep trying, but not this time.
Why is it called "the brazilian war" ?

This was in fact a very fun map to play to be honest with you.
Balance: 3
Biggest problem here of course is its only made for 2 people.

Map Design: 4
The design was good. There is just as likely a chance to use naval units or lands units and you have the water go right up into the other player's base. There is lots of resources to choose from. It reminds me of AoK with all of the sheep clumped together in groups. On the downside it is almost perfectly symmetrical but then again that could be a plus because it levels everything out between the players. Another problem is the map looks almost the same every time I play it. I wish you would have added TP but you make up for it with all of the natives.
Detail/Accuracy: 3
You have good variation but the fact that the map looks the same every time it is generated hurts you here.
Additional Comments:
Overall it is a very good map to play on. The design of the land and placement of resources allows each player to start off strong and facilitates battle early. This map is good for rushers because of the resources and turtles because of the way the map was designed. Regardless of the repetition it is indeed a well designed map.
