Author File Description
tontonnoy Starting in XVI century piracy was gaining in popularity. Thanks to the progress of technology better, bigger and faster ships were built. Colonial expansion was beginning with all the shipping it created carrying gold and other goods...

I gave you a 5 because: Your map was fun to play. Also there was nothing wrong with your triggers or movie at all.

Balance: 4
I gave you a 4 because: I found it that I had a better chance of winning this that the computer.

Creativity: 5
I gave you a 5 because: There are more than enough little things to make your map unique.

Map Design: 3
I gave you a 3 because: Well i was disappointed on this because you did such a great job over all. This 3 will hurt the review. But if you made the map more than a basic map it would help. exe. Cliffs, mountains, waves, etc. something to stand out for the rest.

Story/Instructions: 4
I gave you 4 because: The story was full and not to dragged out. Wish there was more detail

There isn't much you can do in this scenario... I don't know if this is your fault or what, but the pirates did not automatically attack enemy troops... and you can't setup whether they should or not... so you end up having a whole lot of 20 men against 10 others, but only 3 of yours are kicking asses because they are the only one under fire!

Balance: 2
Such a small map and a small scenario shouldn't take you more than an hour and a half to complete! (It took me 3 hours, but then it's probably my fault!)

Creativity: 5
I like the idea that you need to collect resources to get garnison... but it is actually tricky since you can't choose when to get your men out of the harbour...

Map Design: 5
Really good job, inovative; I like the way everything was well timed up, the coasts are built so that you really have to be fast in your naval movements.

Story/Instructions: 3
Not bad in general, but something is missing in the scenario... Just getting the gold is actually quite boring!

Additional Comments:
Generally I liked it, but you could have broaden the available units pallet...

Playability: 4. I enjoyed playing this map a lot, but perhaps it dragged on for a bit too long. That's why I'm not giving you a 5.

Balance: 5. Very good, I thought this scenario is well balanced. A cool feature is that because you are constantly being attacked by the king, you can't send all your troops into attack. I had to decide how many I should dedicate to capturing more rescources to build more troops while still defending the secret harbour. Well done.

Creativity: 5. This scen was a very good idea. The best part was the music from Pirates of the Caribbean - it added to the piratey theme! Having the native island added another element to the gameplay.

Map Design: 4. Eye candy, embellishments and treasures are littered across the map. The islands were all interesting places to visit. You can salvage shipwrecks, battle in swamps or watch the natives tell stories even after you've burned their city to the ground. Sorry I'm not giving a 5 for this, but I feel there could have been more little touches.

Story/Instructions: 5. There wasn't much background story, but it wasn't necessary for a slightly light-hearted pirate-themed scenario. They were written well considering English isn't your native language, and they were adequate for what I needed to do.

Overall: Great scenario, I had a lot of fun with it. I reccomend it.

It was ok, i like the camera rtating every time you did something important, like you killed the natives or attacked the fort. BUT there was a horrible and really annoying bug that made the game too easy. Once i was dumb enough to send both of my ships too far from the base and a warship destroyed my dock. After that the attacks stopped and the comp did not repeated those attacks with the musketeers or the hussars... this made the game really really easy.
AND it takes only about an hour to win this map(so it's really short) and it's about 100% chance of winning if you are not a really dumb loser. :P

Balance: 3
Too easy, and not only beause that bug i wrote before. I think if yo would make it a bit more challenging it would be much better.

Creativity: 5
The story and the objectives were unique and the whole map was pretty creative too. Worth a 5.

Map Design: 3
It could be much better. It wasn't bad but you didn't make a hard work with the environment. With more work on it it would be much better. One more thing: too small map.

Story/Instructions: 5
Nice story, clear instructions, i liked it at all.

Additional Comments:
Fix that dock bug or whatever is the source of that horrible trigger break!

This is a fun little scenario to run through a couple of times with different strategy's. But it is possible to cut some corners that I don't think the designer had in mind.

Balance: 3
I actually lost the first time, because I thought it would just be a bunch of cool little triggers with gold rewards. With patience and a little planning this scenario can actually be pretty easy.

Creativity: 4
The resource/spawn and an interesting use of terrain, are just two examples of a very creative design.

Map Design: 5
Very well done, its obvious that a lot of time was put into this map and I have come to expect nothing less of tontonnoy. It was how this map design effected the tactics and strategy employed that really made it great.

Story/Instructions: 4
Good instructions and I like the pirate theme, but it needed just a little more storyline.

(I really enjoyed this, this was actually the first custom scenario i ever played... I love how you can do so much in this game!)

Balance: 5
(Almost every thing is perfect in this game.)

Creativity: 5
(The creativity was exellent!)

Map Design: 4
(II was a bit dissapointed with the map, the 4 islands are small, very rocky, a bit glitchy, and its annoying how there is an endless group of musketeers attacking my camp every 2 seconds...)

Story/Instructions: 3
(Their really was no story, all you had to do is really move to a new island, get food, chop wood, find gold, and kill the enemies... Not very helpful when it tells me to "Go Find Treasure"...)

Additional Comments:
overall I give it a 4 1/2 out of 5... Keep up the good work!
