This was a sort of grudge match... I played zotti the day before and owned him twice with my mercantilism boom. I decided to be cheeky and do it on him again even though I knew he knew I was going to try it!
As I expected Zotti native rushes me and manages to take down my TC that I foolishly placed right next to his native camp :(
As if that mistake wasn't enough, I then choose the TC under attack to age up from... and he takes it down about 20 seconds before it was about to reach Fortress age -_-
Can I make a come back after such terrible mistakes? Well the fact that the game lasted an hour suggests so!
From the 30 minute mark until the end, there is litterally non stop fighting. I do my usual 'strategy' of mass dragoons and cannons (which has been failing of late) and he comes at me with cherokee rifles and seminole bowmen backed up with dragoons culverins and falconets.
After trying various combos of units and all failed against his native army I didn't know what to do...but zotti helped me out there! He destroyed a lot of my mills leaving me low on food but i had 4 plantations leaving me with tons of gold... so i decided to just mass cassadores since they only cost 25 food but 90 gold... it turns out that cassadores were the key and i have a new found respect for them as they just completely overpowered his army eventually.
Watch at the end as I seperate my cassadores into groups and focus multiple units at a time (at first i didn't do this but eventually i did) and start owning his natives.
Note my cool falconet dodging to protect my paper cassadores!
This isn't me at anywhere near my best, but I still manage to pull out a win against a decent frenchie.
Wow nice match!, I dont know how many times I though Zotti was going to win! I would have liked to have seen a bit more Trampling from Zotti, it does wonders on settlers :)

well, but i think zotti didn't use his artillery as well as he could/should, at the end it seemed that he was tired of running and not completely winning against the enemy base. however, a nice match, for sure.
