Battle of Blinden

Author File Description
Botolf Note: Fictional battle

Some background: In an attempt to encircle British forces in the Ohio valley, the French position a large force to cut off the English supply lines. English reinforcements swiftly come from the colonies, and launch a dual strike with English regulars from the Ohio forts. The English are repulsed, and the reinforcements are crushed by the French reserves. The French corner the English at the edge of Blinden Forest. The English know that if they retreat into the forest, they will encounter a large force of French native allies. The English and French form their lines, and prepare for battle.

Important Info:

-You are the French.
-To move an infantry division, select one musketeer, and the rest of the group will be selected.
-the English possess the same amount of men as you.
-You both have two heavy cannons.
-You possess a group of hussars, and a group of cuirassuers.

(French and Indian war period)

This is my first battle scenario, and I would like to hear your comments on it. I welcome suggestions and critiques, just keep them constructive.

-Botolf

Playability: 2
Played well until the end where you must resign in order to end the game

Balance: 2
Pretty easy for the French as you send 6 cav to kill each of the British heavy guns and zap... he's done. The replayability factor here is to see just how quickly you can eliminate all of the British. My fastest time was 02:57

Creativity: 3
I went up to three because it was fumn to see my best time. most of these games, I play once and that's it.

Map Design: 3
Pretty simple but so is the idea

Story/Instructions: 2
Not much story
Additional Comments: Try adding a thousand or so more like the gentleman doing City Assault. Make it a battle rather than a skirmish!
