Age of Empires III TAD Designers Mod

Now with auto install/uninstall exe


Double click the AoE III TAD Designers Mod icon and follow on-screen instructions.

Now , easier than ever!! I have placed an icon on your desktop that says "AoE III TAD Restore". Simply double click the "AoE III TAD Restore" icon and the program will remove all files placed in your game by the AoE III TAD Designers Mod and restore all files that were replaced by the AoE III TAD Designers Mod back to what they were before you installed the mod.

If you had the original, unmodded Age of Empires III TAD on your machine, the uninstaller (AoE III TAD Restore) will restore the game's Data and ART files back to that state.

IMPORTANT!! If you had another mod installed, the uninstaller (AoE III TAD Restore) will restore the game's Data files back to that state. It will NOT restore any modded art files. It is highly recommended to backup any previously installed modded art files before installing the Age of Empires III TAD Designers Mod.


1) The Designers Mod is now packed into an auto installer/uninstaller.

2) All HC units and buildings and skyboxes for AoEIII vanilla, TWC and TAD

3) Many unlocked or hidden objects and units.

4) Custom buildings, units and objects.

5) Weather effects, explosion effects and magic effects.

CusterGrant for the Alt Trees, HC and Crop terrains, Fireworks and weather effects and several new buildings.

sziggi for his RPG mod including nugget am_Cave, Magic Spring, weather effects, and several special units.

Twoqtimes2 for the HC skyboxes, unshiny cabin, "Q" objects, other objects, Flying IGC Units, all TWC and TAD unlocked HC buildings and units, repairs and auto installer/uninstaller.

jonathan1222 for the Vanilla HC units

ToMyBoy for the original Vanilla HC Buildings

Poisonium for the HC water objects, Placeable Trading Post, Mime and Stagecoach.

RiderOfEternity and BigFatZ for the Japanese Ronin units and added tents.

Argalius for the Blood objects.

Look for the New Skybox add-on from Twoqtimes2

Tomothy I need some help. my AOE3 TAD disc seems to have come with the patch- is there any way to intsall the Designers mod still? I can't find any patch uninstaller, no matter how thorough my search.

PS I gave the rating because I know how awesome the mod is. For those who wondered.

Ditto with random22, in addition, you should put in an uninstaller in case if ppl don't want it anymore, i had to reinstall tad all over again

Mers 2 It is possible to ensure that this mod work online ?
KevTheGreat no mods can work online because it removes/adds to a file causing a CRC mismatch
CrazyEngineerKid I have the newer patch, will there be annother version comming out soon so I can use it in a cinematic I am making? I remember a specific object I used before I had the patch that I would like to use now but when I try to install it does nothing. after uninstall, still nothing lol. I havent checked if I can still play online yet.

could ryeks interfere with it?

I updated this file yesterday (but still not uploaded it to hg)

1. useable online
2. if you host normal games it work like the agesanc patch
3. you can run it with the tad patch launcher
4. You cant run scenarios you did with this mod in other patches, since there are new units,buildings ... and so this wont work
Only problem is the stringtable because it is in english (i configure it also to german and it work but no other languages (expect of german and english works). Still everyone can do it in his own language but it`s a few work.

Unluckily the autor hasnt been seen for a long time, so idk if i will post it

duyhung2h one question: If i use some of the mods in my scenario, do anybody who don't have the mod are able to play it?
