Game Version: |
TAD |
# of Players: |
6 in BOTH maps |
2 Earth maps. Earth IX and EARTH X.
The main difference from this one to EARTH VI are the next ones:
1. Added some missing lands, such as Greece and Constantinople.
2. More fish added.
3. Less hunts, giving more balance to the game.
4. Explorer conversions, from explorer to monk or war chief, depending if you are asian or native.
5. Way cooler decks.
6. No stupid horses at antartica.
7. Cinematics that give instructions.
8. Diplomacy effect, quite alike the one of arab desert. Including alliance and war.
9. More native tribes, and native details and buildings next to each native socket.
The differences between both maps are this ones:
In EARTH IX, you can declare war and alliance how many times you want to.
In EARTH X, there is no loop effect in alliance and war, meaning that to each player you can declare war and alliance just once, for both occasions once, I mean.
Only problem of this scenarios:
The diplomacy effect mostly laggs all game in EARTH IX, move your drummers out of the black circles after you declared a war or an alliance for less lagg, or just play EARTH X, there is no loop effect so there is less lagg than in EARTH IX.
I dont really expect a high review, I expect one between 3.0 and 4.0
I just made this file so people get the newest versions of earth maps. |

Are you an Idiot or just got mental Problems?
I did give credit to le roi george, he was the first one who created this map...
Learn to read the text that appears at beginning of the game...
Noob...
Also, I dont want your stupid rating, Kevthegreat already given me a good rating, more than I expected, I dont want to recieve another one...
Specially from someone that is so nooby and got so bad scenario design skills and and that even delete a single file from a zip folder...[Edited on 06/12/08 @ 09:46 PM]

Playability: 5
Earth maps have always been fun, and adding levels of diplomacy so you can backstab and team people is pure gasoline. The map is huge, so it lags naturally. But it isn't prohibitive.
Balance: 4
Overall very nice. Some of the civs decks are slanted more towards booming, some towards rushing. This makes it a bit hard to keep up if you don't have key defensive cards in the booming decks. Sometimes you are just unlucky enough to get seeded next to the aggressive guy. The decks are a significant improvement over the "all military" or "all crates" decktypes of the original. Resources are spread evenly among continents, so starting location is not as critical as it is in the original.
Creativity: 3
Simple premise, borrowed from an earlier designer. Diplomacy options are novel and exciting in a world map. Otherwise, fairly faithful reproduction of the original map and play setup.
Map Design: 3
This is basically the original World map with a few cosmetic amendments and some rebalancing of resources. There are a few personal touches here and there, and they are fun to come across. Different terrains are faithfully represented and provide a change of scenery when attacking a neighbor.
Story/Instructions: 4
Fairly straightforward. The grammar as always could use a little help. It may be possible to simplify the objectives and the opening instructions a little bit. Otherwise they are basically easy to grasp.
Additional Comments: It's important to give Le_Roi_George ample and visible credit for his original idea. I know you did (I looked for it) but it is polite to put it in both the acknowledgments and the frontispiece. When your first overlay text comes up, you should follow it with another that perhaps says "Based on the classic by Le_Roi_George" or some such.

heh, how ironic, I still remember of what I was talking about in the previous comments (I did it when I read them) and I still answer your comment at the same day that you make yours, even though my last comment on this file was 9 months ago.
And that when I also already stopped playing aoe3... (I have palyed just 5 times in the last 7 months lol).
P.D.
Srry for my english, its probably even worse than it was 9 months ago :P. Mexican education sucks.[Edited on 03/22/09 @ 12:25 AM]
