Playability: 5
(Insert Playability analysis here)
The game is very simple. It even gives you instructions and objectives. You just kill eachother.
Balance: 5
(Insert Balance analysis here)
I think it was pretty balanced. Some of the civs werent very strong at first but he fixed them and ive won it with nearly every civ.
Creativity: 5
(Insert Creativity analysis here)
It was pretty creative. It had suicide bombers, sacrifices, and even its own alliance/war system.
Map Design: 5
(Insert Map Design analysis here)
The map was pretty acurate for each civilazation. Each area was suited to the customs and enviroment of the civs. So each had its own theme.
Story/Instructions: 5
(Insert Story/Instructions analysis here)
The storyline had missions and objectives for each civilazation so it wasnt everyone doing the same thing. Like the Aztecs had to sacrifice to their gods. The Spanish had to gather gold for their queen. The Japanese had to protect their lands. The Ottomans had to appease Allah. And the French had to conquer them all.
Additional Comments:
I think the map was very well done and a lot of time was spent on it. It had cinematics, good objectives, a diplomacy system, and it fitted well together. I think it deserves credit for the work put into it.[Edited on 07/17/08 @ 02:16 AM]

Playability: 5
Very simple, you kill each other. The instructions in the beginning can help you, too.
Balance: 5
All the civilizations are balanced equally, you can win with each and every civ available. I have yet to see where the same civ has won twice in a row. Everyone can access each resource, noone is cut out on anything, and each civ has their strong resource.
Creativity: 5
This is what makes this scenario so awesome. Kev added miniquests, characters and their lines, and the war and truce flags.
Map Design: 5
Flawless map design. He balanced it so that there were trees by each person, and that they could access each resource. Also, the gameplay gets an added spark because he made it switch from day to dusk to night to dawn back to day, which really makes you feel into it.
Story/Instructions: 5
The storyline is pretty cool, each civ has come into this land ready to conquer it, and the aztecs(who have already been there) have yet to see if white men will be good or bad for them. For the instructions, it lets you see how to work the flags, and thats all you need to know.
Additional Comments:
Great game, I look forward to more in the future ;) |

Playability: 4
Very playable scenario. I was wondering if I should give this a 4 or a 5. The climatic wasn’t too good, long and tedious. Rather boring to watch in fact. It gave just a brief over view of what each civilization should do. A little battle or fighting would be nice.
Balance: 5
Extremely Balanced. No further comments needed. It was easy to play with each civilization.
Creativity: 5
Very nice, diplomacy was fun and enjoyable.
Map Design: 5
Perfect! No bugs, easy and fun to play. Pretty much everyone had equal in everything, and it wasn’t too hard for any one civilization.
Story/Instructions: 3
I gave this a three because the first two times I played, it was very hard to understand. The mini-objectives were fun, but at the same time very confusing. I had no idea what to do and how to do it. The diplomacy was fun, but was two confusing at first and the climatic did not help much either. I really didn’t have the fainted idea how to use it. (I did eventually figure it out) There wasn’t much to a story either, just a little background of what was going on.
Additional Comments:
Good job, waiting for another scenario! I had lots of fun play this!

(Well what ca I say the scenario is pretty well made and the gameplay, which I found enjoyable, was an innovating one. Diplomacy is what differs aoe from games like Civilization, with a smart diplomatic strategy, which, on other side, makes it the RTS game we like so much. ok, edition. First of all, it lags like hell with so many units on the mao which gets closely to 1000 and so many buildings and other stuff, and you need to have a veryvery strong comp to play without lags. I dont think that everyone can have allow himself a veryvery good comp. About 400 pop for french my bad didn't kno kev fixed it. ... It's still a 4/5)
Balance: 4
(Balance is very well factured, although there are few details I would have fixed, like the forest in te japanese land or the mass territory for the aztec. Edition: about the teritory,I mean that only aztec are given so much territory for some mysterious reason. Plus, the ottomans are at the center, so they statistically get atacked more often and are in more danger then all the other civ-s. 4/5)
Creativity: 5
(As I said, very creative idea of bringing diplomacy into the game.)
Map Design: 4
(About forests again, aztec territory, but overall the map looks good and it deserves it's 4/5 ... edition: I wanted to give it 4.5 for playability and 4.5 for this map design. Since I cant, I would Just give it 5/5 for game design, hope u are happy - 5/5)
Story/Instructions: 3
(as others said, after 2 times of playing I still coulndt ully understand the intructions, and the quests could have been better then "get 10000, 15000, 2000 :O" gold or get 50 priests. Edit: I should be happy? no kev, u should be happy, because if no add quests, it would get 2/5 from me for story/instructions. Some add quests are boring, what's so fun about getting tons of gold??? and the 1st ottoman quest is to build a mosque and train 30( or something) priests, what kind of quest is that? )
Additional Comments:
Well kev, I've found the forum although you hoped I would not bring my mark here. I know you will find it tough, but I stilll believe that my mark is fair unlike "5 5 5 5 5 GREAT JOB KEV WOO HOOOOOO!!!". Edition: None[Edited on 06/23/08 @ 08:53 PM]

Interesting map, but placing the ottos in the middle of the map can be a disaster. Also some of the OP civs you've used are in a totaly advantage in this map (like Japanese). Japanese can wipe out ottos in a few minutes, by using artillery.
Choosing the diplomacy is quite a good idea, but it has to come from both sides, or is no alliance. Something what bothered me was the day night cycle. On night it was too dark to see something (i was played this in the day time).
Balance: 3
As i've said, some civs have advantage because of the civ's particularities. I hardly gave you a 3 points on this one instead of a 2.
Creativity: 4
Creative, but not excessively. I can't say "...wow, this map have an original idea".
Map Design: 4
Good map design, but not quite good thought about placing resources. On a war zone villies can't gather because they get killed faster then you think.
Story/Instructions: 2
I may be a little stupid, but i haven't understand exactly how to play. This is not a kind of scenario to be played on the first time. I guess a lot of people won't play this twice because they don't understand what to do.
Additional Comments: I found your cinematic a little messy. A good work anyway, but is not the best scenario you can create. You have more potential ...

Playability: 3
The map was very playable, with a simple objective. It kinda lagged a lot though, idk if that was from the people i was playin with tho, but some ppl who played it said it lagged a little as well. The night cycle part kinda pissed me off though, its hard to see and hurts ur eyes :(... lol
Balance: 4
The balance is very good as well. From all of your maps, it looks like you do as best a job as u can making all the civs able to win. This is one of the only scenarios where every civ has a chance.
Creativity: 4
The creativity was good with the miniquests and diplomacy. Like usual, your maps are very creative. This scenario, however, is your most creative one in my opinion. However, all your maps seem to be the same thing over and over lol and they games seem to take forever to win :S. Also, those miniquests are very confusing
Map Design: 3
The map design was very good as well, although it seemed that some ppl had a lot more space than others. I think otto kinda get screwed in the middle :S. Even with 4 facs, when i played all the people tried to attack the otto, which is unfair 4v1 no matter how many resources u get... Since otto is in the middle, everyone thought they r supposed to attack them so....
Story/Instructions: 2
The instructions were kinda confusing to me and many of the people i played with. The storyline is still good and interesting and the miniquests were a nice addition.
Additional Comments:
Another great map Kev. This was the most creative of them all :P.[Edited on 07/17/08 @ 12:30 PM]

Very good playable. Also the cinematic go not oos like it did so often in Arab Desert :)
Balance: 5
Every Civ have a good number of ressources nice decks and a good chance to win. So the balance is very good
Creativity: 4
Nearly the same stuff like in Arab desert. So we saw much before.
EDIT:OK, because you are kevthegreat
Map Design: 4
It`s a Beatifull map.Only point is that ur diplomacy box looks really confused/strange. Look at earth - so look a good one :).
Story/Instructions: 4
This is so long and endless...After you see one time you wish to skip it everytime. But the instruction is in my opoinion clear so i give you a good 4
(hc-instruction: plz do the cities u should use before this ones u shouldnt use [ do a Z or some stoff like this in front of them])
Additional Comments:
A very good scenario... I HATE ONLY THE **** CINEMATIC xD. I recommend this scenario[Edited on 07/10/08 @ 03:03 PM]

Sorry for the bad review this should be a better one:
Playability : 5
Fun map, a bit laggy in the beginning, no bugs, or glitches that I know of. Playable on all accounts :). Only reason its a 4 is the minor lag in the beginning of the game. But the lag is just in the beginning of the game so ill give you a 5. Fun to try out the different civs
Balance: 5
Each civ has their own good and bad. The ottos have their factories and fortified base, but they are in the middle and cannot rebuild their capital. The French have reinforcements and a strong hero trigger attack, but are unsettled. Spain has their own cave full of gold but small. The Aztecs are large, both good and bad. I love the sacrifice system :). The Japanese have starting wonders, and have elite samurais and two trading posts near them; however they have small amounts of land just like Spain.
Creativity: 5
I've never seen a map with so many triggers, and a day - night cycle :). I also love the diplomacy system and the rain events. Loved how you had the units talking.
Map Design: 5
Nice map, a lot of resources close to everyone, and u had to clear cut the land for more room, or conquer the enemies, a real strategy game. Map must have taken you a long, long time. Alright amounts of building and units, liked how u made cliffs that blocked the flags from the playing field.
Story/Instructions: 5
Nice storyline, their mini quests fit their civs perfectly, the ottos pleasing Allah, the French doing recon then conquering, Spain filling up on their greed, Aztecs wanting sacrifices for their sun god, and Japan wanting honor by killing the enemies. The tutorial on the flags were also understandable.
Additional Comments:
I loved the map; I hope to see more of these type games :)

Playability: 2
This scenario is easy to play, as it resembles a normal AoE3 game/ single player conquest. Just in this game, you get to do it all with friends and others in an online setting.
However, there can be some faults in this, as the objectives for the various players can be confusing. Another thing, is the fact that you put players into strict roles, which the novice player may not know about and get stuck in a less desirable role in the game. And with each civ having some drastically different roles to undergo, it could be a little offsetting to some.
I also believe that the map can take a really long time to play, and it just seems a little boring, almost like a normal game. Which would be fine if it didnt take so long. Its like i just played a treaty, although it isnt... it can seem like it at times.
Balance: 3
Balance here is less than great, but better than lots. I think with this style of scenario, balance here becomes crucial because with the different plots for the various required civs, it can be difficult to make that perfect, so a lack in this department can ruin the game.
I realize a lot of the balance rests on the system ES had given you to use, but it is your job to take that system and bend it to the scenario's best interest, which i think you have done, but not quite to level that would make this a great scenario.
Creativity: 4
This style of scenario is a very unique one. lots of use of cinematics, and use of various goals for the civs is great. This part is essentially what the game is about, and you really were able to have the game stand out versus what you have created in the past. I think what you have done is great, the use of diplomacy is great.
The only problem i have the creativity is that essentially it deludes into a single player campaign mission with multiple players, and it is here that i believe points were sacrificed.
Map Design: 4
The map here looks great. Lighting effects allowed for a really great setting, and the whole map works well with missions and player layout.
Story/Instructions: 4
Story line is great, instructions are lacking.
There is a good storyline, and it is clear you have a great imagination.
The instructions here are quite below standards.
It can be very difficult to understand the diplomacy section with all the flags in one area, and the events can be a cause of confusion amongst many novice players.
This is an area where a lot of attention needs to be drawn.
Additional Comments:
The map was interesting to play once or twice, but after that, i just realized it seemed like a campaign mission taken into a more real world setting with the use of diplomacy triggers. You always have made good use of this, just this time it seemed a little harder to use than that of the Arab desert games.
Another thing to look into is the game length, maybe you intended it to take such a long time, but some players wont want to spend so much time in a game like this.
I know a lot of people like your style of scenario design, and i know the next map you make can be better if you take a little more time to be sure you can appeal to a wider audience of players.
gj, keep it up.
edit - I really think you should try to be more in depth with your instructions, as it seems to me people really do not know what they are doing sometimes.
Please try to revise and add some cinematics that will support your game's gameplay.[Edited on 07/17/08 @ 02:03 PM]

Well you can alway's play this without worrying to much about lagg, but I had trouble with the day and night cyclus when it is night you just don't see a thing although this can be positive because natives like the Aztec empire could make a very good and suprising ambush it was in the way for me. Also changed because your newer version made it far less dark, so again you were right........
Balance: 5
All civ's are balanced although I will always dislike the fact that ottoman jannysarie's don't train fast and have a 'normal' counter against cavalry, but what I did dislike was the fact spy's (technology) were free! As I mentioned before the aztecs need alot of their power's to take a civ down with spy's for free you don't have to fear for anymore suprise's immediatly as you reached age 5 for the rest I would also like to note the French start pretty vunerable in the woods with Aztec skull and that close. Ok you tested that so a 5 then because you proved me wrong......... Now I wont judge you on spy's because it is that minor, Dont feel to optimistic because I will keep playing this game and point the mistake's out every time!!!
Creativity: 5
Very creative the map was nicely made, everyone was in a fortress or had a large base. And which I really liked to every civ had it's own bonus like some dojo's for Japan, Ottoman's had 4 factory's, Spain (which has even some history) had to gain their mother country's support and those miniquest were a real adiction.
Map Design: 5
As I've said before the nature was nice in every perspective, it could still use some deer's or such. But I also like the fortifyed base start the map could however be bigger in my opinion but it is to late for that now isn't it? I truly like the way you made the Spanish base you should make more map's like that.
Story/Instructions: 4
Well the story was pretty short explained, and it could be far better I mean come'on make spain and the Aztecs have a different objective against eachother do you honestly believe they would live in peace? They're were additional instruction's on the flag's of war and when you started. Alas the story was just not very entusiastic. You could drag more history or make a new aproach on this matter.
Additional Comments:A very great game but it could take some serious time, also teaming on one person could accur freely without a punishment it should be punished unless the person their teaming is so strong that they just had to team. But for the rest I could only say truly nicely made and play it people. :) Changed my revieuw because you showed me the newer version and oh well you just beated me in that it was right so bravo, but the story is still rather dull. :P
