Thank you for downloading Port Royale TSI (The Spanish Invasion). This is my first attempt to design a game for AOE3TWC. I'm positive many of you will find some bugs or minor problems, and I would appreciate your positive comments to fix these. I attempted to tell a fictitious tale of our beloved pirate Jack Sparrow, as his 3rd movie ended.
I wanted to make it interesting, a little humorous, and a challenging game, there are some good battles, but the main scope of the game is problem solving.
This is not a game where you need to build the biggest and baddest army and kill everything that moves. At times it may seem as though it is not balenced.
It was designed as so. You may lose the battle, but you can win the war. I included some scenario hints in the objectives window, but if you want a challenge turn the hints off. I tried to include some music in this download to make the game more original, but they made the zip folder too large to upload.
Contact me if you wish to seperately download these files, or you may insert your own mp3 files and the game will play it. Just name the file (pirate.mp3) and copy it to the sound folder.
You play this game as a pirate, an independent sole, so there is no home city to help you.
Install: copy the entire Port Royale TSI folder to your AOE3 scenario folder.
To begin play:
Click on single player, open up custom scenarios, double click on Port Royale TSI, and then select the (begin.age3xscn) file.
I have installed AOE TWC Designers MOD_0001, NEW AoE3 EDITOR 2 (N3E2), and the N3E2 update. I'm not sure if you need these files installed also. But for all buildings to appear you will need
the TWC Designers MOD_0001 installed.
Good Luck...have some fun and happy pirating! |

So far I have only played the first scenario and so far it is pretty good. I have one suggestion. When people are talking could you say who is talking. Example: Jack-Who are you? That would make this campaign much better. This is an interesting campaign so far. |

I have tried the first scenerio twice now, and when I rescue the Aztecs from the island and they are brought back to my island, I can not navigate from the spot where the ship landed. |

That happened to me to. I just resigned and moved on to the next scenario. Also I have anouter suggestion. Captain Jack's lines did not sound like the real Captain Jack. I mean he was helping the Aztecs for no reason. He really would only help them if Montezuma gave him something in return. Everybody else has ok lines I think. |

Sorry that you are having some problems. Once you have destroyed the pirate village and completed the secondary objective, your crew captures the Mayan headhunter, and the game takes over control. It takes you back to your island, where Nathaniel fights the Headhunter, kills him and the scenario is over. I playtested this several times, but also found that some triggers don't work 100% of the time.
About Captain Jack...Well it's been 10 years since we last heard from him and quite possible that he mellowed out?? Don't forget the Aztec Chief did give him the war canoes and Nathaniel is helping him. He just might need an ally in the future?
I tried to keep the messages as brief as possible, with giving you information that was needed. Sometimes by including the author's name the messages were cut short. I hope you enjoy the remaining scenarios.

If you follow the instructions in the author text file, it instructs you to double click on the Port Royale folder, and then you should see the "begin file". The begin file is merely a cinamatic movie. You can skip this if you want and open up the scenario folder which is in the Port Royale folder, and then start with the scenario 1 file. Good luck! |
