This is basically a remix version of the fist act 3 scenario, your enemies, an environmentalist association, has blown up the pass, making it impassable.
this is my first scenario, so advice on how to make this better would be useful, also advice on how to make cutscenes would be useful, to, i just cant seem to get them to work. |

I was the first download...
Played it through and have several things to say...
1st) after wiping out the entire enemy force nothing happened...no "You Won", no "Victory" message, nothing... very unfulfilled/
disappointed feeling.
2nd) Had a lot of time to build up a force to defeat enemy (did take a second load, after seeing their attack force.
3rd) Need more challenge early on, attacks or troops hidden in the trade route area.
4th) Need to mix some HI in with the LI in route area.
5th) Yes, it took time but after 15-20 minute it was just a simple game of taking out the bandits and the "rocks"
6th) I enjoyed it (lazy, lengthy, fun game to play), but if you want it to be more challenging, reduce the resources in the base and the open area near the trade route...or put more obstacles/enemy in the trade route area...
If I was to rate it about 3.4...maybe 3.8 for creativity (revised)...[Edited on 12/17/08 @ 11:14 PM]

Heres my suggestion. Why was Falcon Company trying to build a railroad through a canyon filled with rocks. Doesn't it make much more sense to try and build around the rocks :P. Try thinking that through next time. But this was very nicely done for a first scenario. Good job. |

huntertheduck,
That was a very unusual comment. Railroads crossing the US had to bridge rivers, tunnel through mountains, and just try to follow the terrain. Most canyons would require some modifications just to get through, what's a few rocks? Since all the terrain around the canyon was higher, maybe it was the better route.
Maybe going through the canyon kept them from climbing mountains which had to be bridged from ridge to ridge. Maybe you are over thinking the challenge, creating issues that don't exist.
Many they should have had an explanation regarding the above facts, but give some credit to the entire scenario, not challenge it on some obtuse possibly.
I do agree with you, it was a very good first scenario. |

All right. I didn't think that comment was going to be a problem. I was trying to give a suggestion to make his next scenario better. Besides that one little problem doesn't even matter. Whats important is that this guy can make a pretty good scenario on his first try. |

Nice and unique idea, I like it. However it feels like a beta version.
-The rocks look like gold nuggets, and can be destroyed with cannons. You should use the other rocks from the TAD campaign. Those look like real rocks and work like gold mines, so they can only be removed by villagers and railroad workers etc.
-I would place the rocks that have to be removed on a different spot on the map, where the player cannot send units. Then I would place an invulnerable building there where railroad workers can be bought from. Then the player could only use the railroad workers he buys to remove the rocks (and not his villagers). The difficult thing for the player would be that every time a few more rocks are removed, new armies are spawned right and left of the canyon and they attack the railroad workers.
If you don't know how to do this, ask at the forums - there are many nice people willing to answer your questions. ;) |
