Cats and Mice Mystery Series, by River_God.
This is the usual Cats and Mice style. Cats get a Fort, Explorer and 30 minutes to kill the mice. The Mice get an Asian villager who can build Walls and Outposts. Host in any age, with any number of players (fair teams is usually best)and with any civ. The maps themselves are generated randomly within a base frame. In each corner there is a spot where if you place your mouse or explorer, Some mercinaries will join your cause, 2 at a time every 10 seconds, with a limit of 8 per mercinary. In M4.1, the civ you choose determines the stats of the mice. For example: Portuguese mice have less HP, but will build faster. All of the mice stats are in the XML file, or hold your mouse over the pic while hosting.
Hosting in Nomad is a different game style. Cats get a super Explorer, Mice build limit is severely reduced, and the maps are very different with revealeers to help both sides. Instead of mercinaries, Miners are available. They can destroy what's on the map, clear paths, or kill mice in one hit.
Hosting in Free For All is another game style: Mice V Mice. All players are mice, starting in the center of the map. You can build Outposts, Walls, and a Saloon. Use your mouse skillz to kill the other mice before they get you. In version M4.1 the tower limit decreases as time goes by. In both M3.3 and M4.1, at 33 minutes game-time, all players recieve a short burst of visibility to the entire map. You see all for about 5 seconds, then back to normal. It will repeat every 3 minutes until the game is over.
DIFFICULTY! The Difficulty you host in triggers Difficulty Events. For example: hosting in Sandbox raises the Mice tower limit from 70 to about 300. The Difficulty Events may not work in Nomad. Difficulty Events in FFA determine teams, for example: Sandbox makes the teams Top Vs Bottom. For a full list see XML file or read the description when hosting.
Tips and Tricks! Hosting in Post-Imperial raises the Cat population limit to 200 for European nations only, the rest are stuck at 100. Sioux cannot build walls... ever. A good cat will not only have good siege, but also a good block of choke points. A good mouse knows when to build, when to hide, and when to run away!

You could enable for Sioux the various wall segments and gates and upgrades in the script...
Nice RMS. I definitely like the random aspect of it. Cats v mice on a pre-made scenario map runs out of gas real quick, once everyone knows where the best hiding places are. When it's random, however, you get lots of replay mileage, and given the new and interesting play mode changes, you'll probably never run out of gas.

The CatsNmice_M4-1 scenario appears to be incompatible with the Mac version of TAD. The game will crash in the main menu if it is present in ~/Documents/Age of Empires III/RM3. CatsNmice_M3-3 works fine.
Tested with Mac 1.0.0 and Mac 1.0.1.
Destineer support has already been contacted with this information. |

Yeah, I have the Mac version, and AoE3 kept crashing, and I had to do a binary search. Eventually, I traced it down to the M4-1 file. |
