Warrior Defence which was originally created by Sandstorm, later edited by someone and then reedited by me.
- intro cinematics- no explanations
- 2 miners and added coin crates to last the game
- each player has 6 banks generating coin
- replaced pikeman and halbediers for jaeger/ ronin/ fusilier
level 1 has been left untouched to help newbies get into the game, but soon after level 2 you will find yourself struggling against increasingly stronger units.
I played with upgraded musks 1700 health, 900 attack, and my army got several times wiped out by skirmishers (one shot one kill)
I lasted till level 4, but it goes on to level 8. I think it is doable if you have a mix of merc units and cannons, I have made sure togive each player enough gold each time your army is eradicated by super units, so that you have something to do while you wait 2 min for the next level to start :-), which I thin k was the most boring part of the original game.
some places which seem to be empty actually will generate that original unit sandstorm placed there, like cuirassiers or hussars, but someone had already removed them and well, cav is not that great in this game.
to win you must make sure to upgrade all your units.
You can play single player, just erase the 3 tents next to the lanes which have player 1 and 2 and 3 names on it to kick the other players.
if the boss unit gets stuck erase the "boss won't come" tent and it will move.
first of all, i liked all warrior defence versions.
i just finished this and the most exciting part in it was the Shogun Tokugawa , LMAO i literally cried with laughs that shogun wouldnt die, it was the most exciting bit of the whole scenario. other units still coming in rows and attacking my units while tokugawa acting as meatshield for them, it literally takes less than a second for them to reheal and stand back from dead. not to mention they have HUGE attack and Hitpoints. i was playing alone so other 3 comps were out and their units were dieing at the start line, but as shogun has hero tag, it wouldnt die, it was so funny to see so many units piled up on map including my own.
firstly i thought it was some sort of mistake made by designer but after level 9c finished i was victorious, so it clear that killing tokugawa and passing few more rounds after he's on map was the mission. Though little disappointed being not able to play level 10 "defend the fort". i had over 2500 pop units on map spread everywhere and ready to take over level 10 spawning points, but sadly it ended at level 9c (should have been mentioned in instructions or somewhere).
Another glitch i found is that you cant see where to buy miners and banks from, as i had played previous versions, i knew they r right next to ship and crate miners and just stood on blank spot and banks started spawning...
for anyone new it needs to be fixed. other than this, this map is still as much fun as ever.
p.s. learicon and bear was nice touch
