You are the Japanese and start out with four monks (explorers). Your enemies are strung out across three islands and will quarrel among themselves except for the two opposing Japanese who have formed an alliance.
You Have no villagers and will need to aquire some by rescueing them via treasures. (don't worry lots of coureur de bois and settler treasures are scattered around)
This like my "The Last" scenario is one of my first and is frankly very simple with limited triggers.
Playability: 3
I wouldn't play it again without serious modification.
Balance: 1
-No need for four monks.
-No need to have the buildings spawn the armies for you. Took the challenge right out of the scenario. Way too easy.
-No need to have so much housing, why bother having a 200 population allowance right off the bat? Again, took the challenge right out of it for me.
-There were no attacking enemies. Again, just too easy.
-Too many courier de bois treasures (like 35-40?). One would have done it, nestled deep behind enemy lines where you'd have to fight to get to it, just barely making it back with them. If I may make a suggestion, once you free those two solo courier, only then I'd have them build a home city.
Creativity: 3
I think there are some solid ideas here, particularly with the map design. Needs tweaking though.
Map Design: 4
Excellent design. With a good story and some challenging elements this scenario could be something. The only issue I have is some choke points cut off the troops from movement.
Story/Instructions: 1
This really deserved a zero because there was no story and no instructions.
Additional Comments:
A good effort. Keep working it, there is promise here! =)
