Your FF BO wasn't good. You chopped 400 wood to make 2 houses and a barracks. The 2 houses put you at >20/40 pop for a long amount of time and the barracks wasn't used until you aged up to forts. So you didn't really need either of those. Then to make up for that cost you shipped in 700 food so you could still age, but waiting for that second shipment really took away from your FF time (you started aging at 6:30...when you should start at 5:30 with the normal FF BO). It's better to just gather all food/gold and ship 700 gold to start aging around 5:30 then ship 700 wood to set up buildings. You'll have the same fortress+building setup as with your BO, but a minute sooner (actually in this case you used the ages very fast politician so instead of speed you lost out on 6 cass).
You didn't do any real scouting at all. You need to know what your opponent is doing. This is also important in your unit combo. You started going goon/cass without even seeing one of his military buildings. So you were kind of just building units regardless of his.
Putting goons in hand mode doesn't make them much better raiders. Then you had them still in hand mode for when you engaged his military later on (accidentally I assume).
You won a battle pretty nicely with a decent sized army left but you didn't push afterwards. There is no reason not to attack an undefended homecity.
You didn't even have mames in your deck. Mames are the best thing ports have. I use mames in 95% of my ports games.
Late market techs. You want to get them much sooner. You started getting them at 25:00ish and got techs like steel draps and placer mines when you were already collecting from mills/plants.
Once the map is mined out, I usually switch to wood/food and go 4 rax besteiros spam. You instead spend 3200 wood to keep collecting gold. I think my way is much better.
