An ultimate graphics tweak for all AOE3 fans!
This is now the third version of the mod with reduced bloom and more smooth lighting transition and slightly better compatibility for users with slower systems.
This mod enhances bloom effect, anti-aliasing and gives a all-new look and feeling to this great game :D
Originally designed for GTA San Andreas, I modified the files to make it compatible with AOE3 and its expansions.
How to Install:
Simply place these 2 files into your AOE3 directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires 3)
-enbseries
-d3d9.dll
Then launch the game and play!!!
Hope u guys love it!
NOTE: The mod can be disabled anytime in-game by pressing Shift+F12

i like the contrast, but the bloom is a little exaggerated, but overall nice work, though i would like to see a version with a little less bloom... please... |

yeh true, the bloom seems a little too strong particularly on snow terrain.
if u open the file 'enbseries' you'll find a list of configurations, in one section u can edit the overall bloom of the mod, u can alter the settings to ur desire (just remember to back up original copy in case u mess up the settings!):
[BLOOM]
BloomPowerDay=25
BloomFadeTime=1000
BloomConstantDay=4
BloomQuality=2
BloomScreenLevelDay=70
BloomCurveDay=4
BloomPowerNight=30
BloomConstantNight=5
BloomCurveNight=4
BloomScreenLevelNight=20
BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=90
BloomAdaptationMultiplier=20
BloomAllowOversaturation=0
if this mod gains enough popularity i will make another version but for now i'll leave it at that |

This is a great mod, thank you for making this. Is there anyway you can explain what each of the 13 settings do? Some seem self-explanatory, but some do not. I've played around with it and figured out a little bit, but if you could narrow down the trial & error with whatever you know that would be great. For example - what setting would I tweak in order to keep the UI a bit brighter. (If possible) |

Thx for commenting, i have now released a second version which should have slightly less bloom making the interface less blinding,however if it still seems abit too bright ppl should tweak the
'BloomPowerDay=' and 'BloomScreenLevelDay=' down by intervals of 5 until the effects reach their desired results (which is less brightness/bloom)
As for the UI try reducing the 'BloomFadeTime=' and 'BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=' to make it brighter, rest u rly just gotta play around with it. |

...although i reckon it just should be left as it is, with this mod aoe3 now has pretty much unmatched graphics to even new games like dawn of war 2 or starcraft 2 :P
And plz submit reviews!! |

BloomPowerDay=10
BloomFadeTime=500
BloomConstantDay=2
BloomQuality=2
BloomScreenLevelDay=25
BloomCurveDay=2
BloomPowerNight=15
BloomConstantNight=2
BloomCurveNight=2
BloomScreenLevelNight=10
BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=45
BloomAdaptationMultiplier=10
BloomAllowOversaturation=0
i just minimized every setting from the new version to it's half...[Edited on 09/11/10 @ 10:06 AM]

Do you know if there are any incompatibities? I installed this and it halted video replay and the graphics were very dark.
I sure hope there is a way to get this to work on my computer. I am running Windows 7 and GeForce 6200 video.
Additional note: Video replay locks up in TAD but not the original AOE3. In AOE3 I notice increased pixelation and stutter. FWIW[Edited on 10/09/10 @ 09:44 AM]

soz for late reply, lol the lowest system specs i ran this mod on was nvidia 7300, it was hard to say if its rly worth to have ENB on lower systems, i have a GTX 280 so i cant go around looking for ppl with different specs, but i believe the benchmark for the mod would be the nvidia 7 series and radeon X1300-X1900.
With the vids, i'll add a file that will remove pre-game cinematics since that does occasionally play up and as for the campaign vids (if u rly love watching them for some weird reason) i'd just disable the mod prior by pressing Shift+F12
