Playability: 5
This one is more up my alley than your last and good from the start. No lag problems, triggers all seemed to work including the victory condtions. I like the idea of landing troops for conquest since it adds a few more variables to it.
Balance: 5
I think the balance was good, seemed dead on. It took most of what I had to complete everything. If anything someone might say it was a tiny bit easy, but I like it as is.
Creativity: 5
Little different subject matter than other folks use and one you seem at home with. I liked the idea of taking the flag point as an objective much better than the save this guy or that guy type many use.
Map Design: 5
Good design. Nice terrain, details and especially water which allows the use of ships instead of just land units.
Story/Instructions: 5
Story from history which made sense, told me what to do.
Additional Comments:
Thanks for making this one. I don't give alot of perfect scores, but I can't see anything to complain about. I liked every aspect, it kept me entertained and it wasn't impossible. Best of all, it worked and looked great.

thanks for the review sentry glad you enjoyed.
This is the first part of the campaing (probably 2 or 3 more) it is based on true facts that i will be presenting on each scenario.
The intention was to make it fun not imposible as you say. eventhough Spanish have more technologies the amount of Aztecs and Mayans doesnt make it easy.
I think that the initial part where you need to decide how and where you will land is crutial to the rest of the game.
I also think that the music gives it a more unique enviorment. |

This scenario is very fun, because i love playing these types of scenarios where u have a small force against a larger force.
Balance: 5
Its just right, just gotta be a strategist at this type of stuff
Creativity: 5
This scenario reminds me of a scenario on Starcraft, called Impossible Scenarios. Where u have a small army against a gigantic army, youll probably think it is impossible, but its not!
Map Design: 2
It was pretty good, but i would like to see more embellishment.
Story/Instructions: 2
Simple and interesting, but im not into spanish history... =P

The game was somewhat playable but I would ask, "Who would want to play it more than once?" There were numerous periods of lag; most likely due to the large number of Aztec warriors (and friends). It was a long drawn out game that was fairly boring except for the music.
Balance: 1
It was like the proverbial "shooting fish in a barrel." My final stats had me killing 1,520 Aztecs while losing 52... the score was 2,608 for me and 55 each for the two Aztec tribes. I set this game to "hard" expecting great things from reading the other two reviews. It was greatly disappointing!
Creativity: 2
I saw nothing that I would consider 'new' or 'creative' in this game.
Map Design: 3
The map was nicely made and had some interesting land characteritics to it such as the what looked like a little creek separating the red and yellow Aztecs.
Story/Instructions: 2
Story was OK... a rehash of an old World History class but the instructions were a little misleading as it gives the impression that you must take Cortez to the mainland to win. This is not true. Cortez never left his island... He's probably still there now, drinking a Margarita. 8-)
Additional Comments:
Music was nice and my young daughter liked to dance to it.

Again as with the other of your scenarios I've played I really enjoyed the game play! I had a bit of an issue with balance but otherwise a fun map to play.
Balance: 3
This is a tough one becaue while killing 1500+ Native units I only lost 117. It was definately the cannons. Now I know that historically speaking the Spanish definately had the upper hand because of gun powder. But mayhaps there were too many heavy cannons and falconets for Cortez. I'm not certain but of course I don't think Cortez would've had quite that much firepower. The boneguard are a little much even for the upgraded Natives.
Creativity: 4
It's sort of a historical map but I think you handled it well and I liked a couple of the map features and flow of the game so the creativity still shined.
Map Design: 4
The map well well laid out. I liked the coral bottoms around the islands...nice touch. And there was a shipwreck which was placed well. Terrain wasn't flat...always a plus!
Story/Instructions: 4
The objectives were clear and the cinematics told the story just fine.
Additional Comments:
Again a really nice scenario...if you haven't downloaded this series, it's a really good job![Edited on 12/04/06 @ 01:25 PM]
