a prelude to thirty years war

Author File Description
File Details
Game Version: TAD
This is the story of a German mercenary in the 16th century. Although fictional, the scenario was created after much research on the 16th century warfare. It is devided in three acts, which will cover many aspects of the conflicts during that period.

All the instructions you'll need, can be found in the scenario.

The only tip is: save your progress as often as you can, cause things are not always what they seem!

Install instructions: Copy all the "prelude to thirty years war.age3Yscn" and "prelude to thirty years war.bak" files in 'my documents/my games/age of empires 3/scenario'.

Have fun.

cmeb4uleave Played it several times and keep getting the "abandon your colony" message and don't know what is wrong. I have three canons fixed, rebuilt the market and the town center, and have made several outposts but not 13--is this outpost thing what is happening wrong. Not really fun, frustrating is a better word. Putting hours of effort in lose and never had any damage or battle.
cmeb4uleave Faithfully played again with same result. Abandon colony crap without a shot. This doesn't appear to be a playable scenario, huh!
cmeb4uleave It is playable if you are Mr. Wizard. It is extremely hard--to hard to be really be playable IMHO. Why isn't someone else commenting and telling me I'm wrong? I like the story line and the possibility of play but not the outcome I've been experiencing.

cmeb4uleave After playing multiple and reading the triggers I now know where things are and have won the game. I've lost some men due to them getting stuck among houses, stuck around river crossings, and getting stuck on the prickly bunker thing. Yeah, once you know where things are it is doable but until then a person is lost and beaten.
