June 6th, 1944: D-day

Author File Description
SharpShooter99 A complete strategic scenario, where you have limited units to storm the Normandy beaches-- Utah, Pointe de Hoc, Omaha, Gold, and Sword.
The beginning is a short cinematic intro, before D-day(not historically accurate)

Use your units wisely. And good luck.
Sequel to my Operation Overlord: D-day scenario.

More cinematics will be added to this soon...

Sequel to this, the Battle for Normandy and thats the end for my WW2 scenario designing or i might make something about Russia campaign or Italy... who knows.

Next up, The Rebellion Campaign, coming soon....

omarin Hey Sharp.. i played your scenario and I have a few comments.
I had lag all the game but during the cinemas was it was very slow. ive experienced that this hapens when you pitch too much the camera because a lot of action and information is on screen so everything gets very slow.

in my opinion you were on a rush to release this one and you left a lot of thing uncomplete. the map looks nice with the rivers dividing the islands but the cities were a bit strange on their defence there were like 8 players but only 2 were actually playing.
the fact that there were 2 blue players was a litle distracting, you left a skybox in the scenario, strange variaty of units (miners, obus guns, ottoman warriors, highlanders, etc) i finished the game in 12 min. acording to the scenario clock and at the end i felt it was pretty quick compared to your other beach asault scenarios.

this map could get very good if you fix a few things.

i played it, and there was no lag. Y? And i wasnt in a hurry, im just fast... =P
And highlanders were in D-Day, The British had highlander divsions, plus ur not supposed to deploy all ur units all at once which cause lag, now im going to make it harder... And in starcraft, we use any unit thats close to a unit to thing ur basing it on. No matter how strange the unit is that is used to resemble that unit.

Playability: 2
Lags alot. the Americans and British just sit there looking lost...so thats realistic them. Fixed guns...love them or hate them I think they ruin the balace of a game.

Balance: 3
See above but somehow pretty even. Over a bit quick. Just rush around the back.

Good idea. Looks like DDay in fancy dress though!

Map Design: 4
Best feature. Nice map full of features and interest. If only it worked a bit better.

Story/Instructions: 3
As I said DDay in fancy dress....not very realistic. Best keep to the right historical period.

Additional Comments:
Good effort. Looks nice, but not much fun to play. Take those tips off of omarin...hes the man right now

RatedA yeah I was lagging so bad during the beggining scene that it froze my computer, which isn't even that slow cause I played the other D-day without much problem.
Saden50 Hey are you guys gonna do the Battle of Brittain? Instead of using plains you could use moniters to shell the Brittish shores, and if you guys don't i will make a Battle of Brittain scenario.
