The True Emperor

Author File Description
File Details
Game Version: AoE3+TWC+TAD
In late 1500s China, Seaman Mee Koy and a man named Hai Bum must each escape their own bad situation and link up at a remote island called Piaotow-Zi. There, they build an army of expatriate dissidents, wanderers and natives to depose The False Emperor - the usurper of the Forbidden Throne of China- in favor of The True Emperor. They must have allies from mystic cults and from the great nation of Nihon. Depending on the choices you make and the strategy you adopt, you will have to overcome the Himalayas and the False Emperor's powerful army, or the China Sea and his formidable fleet and harbor defenses - or perhaps both. You may also have to deal with some pirates. Just before victory is attainable, there is a surprise or two. Comments/reviews are welcome.Enjoy. OldGrex

PJCPJC Thank you!
PJCPJC So I've got some resources coming in, and I'm informed it would be wise to walk North to that Japanese city. When I get there, nothing happens. I stroll around the city clicking on everything but nothing occurs.
Ninja King Excellent game. Nearly forgot about the emperor in villager's clothes.

PJCPJC: Did the Jesuits offer you a choice? How did you respond, and what did you do then? That affects how Nihon reacts to your visit. OldGrex
PJCPJC I don't recall the exact wording but I agreed and eventually returned and built a trading post nearb y, just outside Nihon city.

PJCPJC: If you build the JESUIT Trading Post BEFORE you enter Nihon, you'll get some information and another good deal!
Ninja King I just walked thru the gate in the beginning. Is this an error or a bug? Nihon city is irrelevant. Nothing happens. Still a very good game.

Ninja King: Thank you for the kind words. Nihon city can be relevant - if you first build the Jesuit trading post ("keep your word"), Nihon gives you military units more valuable than the 200 Wood, which saves you buildup time and resources. They also give you information which can affect the strategy you adopt. Perhaps I should have been more explicit about the necessary sequence. I will revise the scenario if more clarity issues such as this are found.

@Cesarski: Thanx for taking the time to review. Can you suggest how I might improve the Playability and Story/Instructions? Thanks again.
karasis65 I loved it! It was quite fun. Thanks for your work!
