Game Version: AoE3+TWC+TAD
This upload unlocks the Black's Mercenaries Civilization.

Copy "homecitySPCAct2" and "civs" files into:

Steam - Steam apps - common - Age of Empires 3 - bin - data

After your done with creating your new homecity, rename or remove the "civs.xml" file

from your "data" folder. This will allow you to continue online.

Be sure to run VANILLA AOE3 first, then try out the expansions.

It wont create the HC and new civ otherwise!

I recommend you play on War Chiefs or Asian Dynasties.

Idea based on my own ideas and civs.xml.xmb taken from iamchanceless' "Special Civs on ESO" Mod.

No new cards added.

This Civilization can only go to Colonial, Fortress and Industrial Age, and Guard Upgrades are available.

Civilization does not have Capitols enabled.

The homecitySPCAct2 should allow you use Black's Mercenaries on single player scenarios and make custom decks. (A bug because the homecity.xml file was not included in the data.bar files, but rather in Campaign Blood Ice Steel folder).

Very good like all the other civs. The only thing I would change would be adding a card to build a saloon? or a monastery? The cards and the church improvement card involve making mercenaries stronger, but this civ has no access to create them other than the other HC cards. Other than that, great civ.

It is possible to add a map that enables Saloons for a specific civilization, but I don't know of any cards in the game currently that enable the saloon.
CrazyDude707 I would look into including a Monastery Rickshaw Card. A lot of the Asian Civs have them since they are basically just a saloon.

EDIT: I tried to go online with this Civ and the Malta one(in a private match with my friend) and both times it gave the message "failed to read game" or something along those lines. Basically, the game would not start. However, the USA Civ did not have this problem.

Did the USA Civ work with new cards online?
CrazyDude707 I did not test all the cards but to my knowledge, most of them work. The 2 explorer cards work and so do the rest of the improvements. The only one that I tried that did not work, was the 2 Town Center Cart card. It said that I am at the build limit even though I only had 1 Town Center. The American Civ is limited to 2 TCs.

Yeah I found problems with the 2 Town Center card as well. But its too late to remove it.
CrazyDude707 Yeah, anywho, hopefully you could tweak the mod to make it work online if possible. I don't know what makes the American Mod playable online and the other Civ's you've released not playable.

I don't think I want to do that really. But the United States civ probably works because in the data.bar files homecitySPCAct3 and homecityXPSPC are inside whereas the default location for Black's Mercenaries and Malta is in the data.bar files but the files aren't there by default. That said I may just include new cards for this home city like I did the other one.

I really just wanted an American Civ, but I haven't gotten a home city with it online (as of yet).
