AoE3: WW2: The Push to Berlin

Author File Description
mercenary11 This is a short bonus scenario that I decided to create to let you guys play since Operation Torch Part 2 is not coming out for a long, long, long time. I hope you guys enjoy it. Read the objectives carefully and in the beginning there may be a bit of lag depending on what type of computer you have. The lag is about 10 seconds to 30 seconds long. It will go away shortly. It may come back sometime later in the game if there is an accumulation of troops.

Anyways, the instructions are fairly simple. You must save the citizens first which are approximately north of your starting position and bring them to safety to the enclosed U.S. base. There is an X on the spot where if you want you could put your TC. From then on, the instructions are fairly simple. Build tanks and train infantry and eliminate all Germans. There is more than one way to finish the objective and have fun playing this map. Enjoy it I hope :)

Any questions email or AIM me at ice12233@yahoo.com or SilverStag91.

They go into your spc folder in your units folder in your art folder. If you don't have a units folder you should make one in your art folder. If you can't get it to work it doesnt really matter you can still play the game without the skin. It's one skin.

Well this isn't actually a HARD mission but very annoying. The units don't seem to follow your orders well in this map.

Balance: 2
Obviously its not balanced but the problem is that the Germans are outnumbering the allies like 8 to 1.

Creativity: 4
Pretty good story I guess

Map Design: 1
Worst map I've ever played on, the road makes it really hard to move units across because a lot of them have to go around a bunch of houses since there is like a 1cm opening. Also the trees makes it difficult to see whether or not u can go across.

Story/Instructions: 2
A little confusing.

Additional Comments:
U need to edit the map

hm thanks for your comments, but you do realize that it is the countryside and not a city. The Germans also far outnumbered the allies, but since you said it wasn't that hard it shouldn't of been too much of a problem. And one thing I don't understand is which part of the map are you having problems moving? Also try telling me what else could get work on? You only talked about mobilization, what about terrain and all. Thanks anyways.

Seemed good to me.

I thought this was pretty good, but it could be worked on a little bit.

Very creative approach. :)

Map Design: 3
As an eye-candier, I have to say that the map design wasn't your greatest point.

Story/Instructions: 4
Were a little shaky, but I got them.

Additional Comments:
Umm...was a very good scenario, considering all the problems you've had with it. :) Good job! :)
RatedA Yeah this is in addition to my review earlier...

The bad part of the map was the main stone road that had very low walls on its sides. Now there are some opening here and there but they are small so most of your forces just starts to go around the whole road and finds somewhere an army of germans. Also the trees and the ruins are confusing in the sense that you don't know whether you can go through them.

Also when I said it wasn't hard I meant it WOULDN'T have been hard if the map is fixed and you can start CONTROLing your units.

hm thanks for the add-on, but I wouldn't send my troops very far without watching them, because there are bound to be those troops that go through the little cracks and all. I'd originally put pathblocks in the cracks, but it actually made the situation worst so I took them out. The main thing you gotta do is make sure you watch any troops you send out. Thanks anyways.

Figuring out how to work this scenario was rather easy. It isn't the best I've seen, but it still helps get the job done, as it isn't clunky.

Balance: 2
I had trouble beating this. It took too long to get units, only to lose them in a minute. While it was a hard battle, it wasn't like we didn't have to make guys. It really slows the gameplay when you have to build units like that.

Creativity: 5
We're the first two to really take this seriously.

Map Design: 5
I think the eye candy is good by my standards, thought I'm not that good at eye candy. The layout was fine, so don't fret. But, while it didn't hurt the map design, don't make things like walled cities and forts to attack. They're out of place in the scenario.

Story/Instructions: 4
(Insert Story/Instructions analysis here)

Additional Comments:
Saden50 Hey are you guys gonna do the Battle of Brittain? Instead of using plains you could use moniters to shell the Brittish shores, and if you guys don't i will make a Battle of Brittain scenario.

Hm, we weren't planning to do the Battle of Britain because it would be pretty hard to do it with this game, but your welcome to do it anyways. If you want you can join our scenario design team.
