4 new civs and a bunch of new units and techs.

Unique units: Samurai, Mounted (Uma) Samurai.

Bonuses: Villagers cost wood not food (idea from forum of the 1.00 modd), villagers cut wood faster without upgrade

Japanese Fishing Fleet: Upgrade for fishing boats
Bushido Code: all unique Japanese units more hitpoints
American Imports: Lets Japan create cannon like any other civ
Ronin Shipment: 1000 gold buys you 10 Ronin. Changed form 1.00

Unique units: Mhougal Soldier, Stampeeder, Shortbowman.

Bonuses: Settlers extremely cheap, but cannot build factories and all buildings have less hitpoints. Also, cannot create cannon. Has to send for them from the home city.

Modernization: Can build another factory for a total of 6, but settlers gather resources less efficiency
Blitz Tactics: Revolucionario upgrade. Hitpoints reduced, but moves much faster and has much greater seige attack
Anti-Cavalry Tactics: Revolucionario upgrade. All attack reduced, but gets a bonus against cavalry, even for ranged shot
Blind Training: Dragoon and Cavalry Assassin LOS greatly reduced while range increased

This is something i couldnt figure out when making the modd. Does anyone know how to edit the .xml.xmb files, namely the civs.xml.xmb and the homecity files? Also how do u add sounds to units so they're not so silent? If anyone knows this, please post it on this forum.

DrIstvaan I suppose the best way to edit .xml.xmb files is to place them to some other place, use the file converter tool, edit the .xml files, and then re-convert them to .xml.xmb.
isuiki I downloaded the mod buy cannot figure out where the new units are!!! plz tell me
DrIstvaan I've downloaded it, but it can't even load. It quits before even the ES intro!

i think some ppl were having problems with loading the original modd. It should work flawlessly with 1.05 and later, but just to be safe try updating to 1.07 and reinstalling it. if it still persists, then give me a more accurate description of the problem, especially any error messages that pop up.

before u post tho, make sure u have everything in the right directory. Copy the Age of Empires filder into the \program files\microsoft games directory and replace all. then put the other files (homecities) into the savegame folder and it SHOULD work.

the new units should be where they always have been. try loading Veracruz or another new home city if u still cant find them. im glad to see someone has this working. what version of the game do u have?

DrIstvaan I've 1.04 installed... But I remember you stating that it works well with that version.

i did say that and it should. y it isnt i have no clue. in the meantime im still working out all the sound bugs and dont have time to downgrade and debug at the moment. try it in 1.07, it should work there, except that annoying sound thing that im working on now

Nice Continuation of MY mod, cleaned up alot of my errors too I see that I left in there. The REAL update of this Mod called Orders and Saints should come out any day now, if I ever finish it that is, but this looks like people could play this till then, and it looks like they have apparently
