Frustrated with the lack of large sea-based games I adapted the standard caribbean map... the result is a very large - but VERY playable - map. Friends and I play it on LAN for hours and hours without lag. This is definitely a no-rush game, and you certainly need to hone those sea-faring skills to win through.
Now I don't profess any programming knowledge, so go easy on me. I simply compared the differences in code between the regular maps and those made by the experts here (i.e Gandalf). If anyone can reduce the size a touch without making the islands look weird, then by all means repost it. But I kind of like the feeling of being lost at sea!?! See what you think.
Apologies to the first couple of people who downloaded the original file... I've now updated with the correct version.

Is this map made to be played with human or computer multiplayers? I thought it was too easy 2vs2 on moderate (2 human against 2 computers). I will try it single player against 1 computer on hard or expert. What difficulty should this played best at and how many human/computer players?

Thanks for your comments. I didn't really work long enough on this to suss out the AI component. Basically, the computer players don't build ships, whatever difficulty level. Although putting them on expert makes it harder to land an invasion force.
Ideally, you should play it as a human team battle, or even 1 vs 1 if you want a REALLY long game.
