In contrast to the other native civilizations, the Aztecs will have a less nomadic nature to their buildings, and will be able to build walls and more defensive structures.
- Economic: House | Market | Town Center
- Military: Nobles Hut | Wall | War Hut
- Both: Dock | Firepit
Dock

- Economic/Military
- The Aztec Dock will be used for training Fishing Boats and Canoe units.
Firepit

- Economic/Military
- Like the Sioux and the Iroquois, the Aztecs will have a Firepit building. Villagers will be able to dance around the Firepit to generate different bonuses for the Aztec player.
House

- Economic
- The less nomadic nature of the Aztecs compared to the Sioux and the Iroquois is represented in them being able to construct a 'normal' house, the same as the European civilizations.
Market

- Economic
- This building has the same artwork as the Sioux and Iroquois Market buildings and so is likely to be the Aztec Market building. It will be used for economic upgrades and for trading resources.
Nobles Hut

- Military
- The Nobles Hut becomes available in the Fortress, and is the place from which the Aztec warrior knights are trained from. It is also a very powerful defensive structure, in terms of power midway between a Fort and an Outpost.
Town Centre

- Economic
- This building looks like it will be the Aztec Town Centre building, used for training basic villager units and possibly Warrior Priest units.
Wall

- Military
- This will be the texture and style of the Aztec walls.
War Hut

- Military
- The War Hut looks like it will be the basic barracks-like building for the Aztecs. Available in the Colonial Age, it will be used for training the basic Aztec infantry line: Macehualtins, Puma Spearmen and Coyote Warriors.
