Home City Shipments and Bonuses

Listed below is all the current information we have obtained on the new homecity shipments and bonuses for the European civilizations. Please note that all this information is not confirmed and may or may not make it into the expansion pack.

Home City Shipments


Each European civilization will be able to unlock a card that enables them to send a shipment of native warriors, much like the current mercenary shipments already in the game. Each civilization will have a different type of native mercenaries available, which will depend upon where each civilization historically colonized. Here's what we know so far:

  • British: Cherokee
  • Dutch: Carib
  • Russia: Nootka
  • Spanish: Mayans

The European civilizations will also receive additional, more unique home city cards. Here's what we know so far:

  • Team: Hire Hessians - Germany
  • This will be a card unique to Germany that will send a shipment of Hessian Jaegars to each allied player in your team. It will most likely cost gold, like the current mercenary shipments.
  • Florence Nightingale - Britain
  • After sending this card the British manors will heal nearby units, much like field hospitals heal wounded units slowly within an area of effect.
  • Team: Spahis - Ottoman
  • Sending this card will ship a small amount of the Saphi heavy cavalry to each allied player in your team. This card may cost food, as shipping Spahi currently costs food.
  • Suvorov Reforms - Russia
  • Having sent this card all Russian Strelets on the map will turn into Musketeers. Future Strelet production will be unaffected; you will still be able to produce Strelets afterwards.
  • Thoroughbreds - France
  • Sending this card will reduce the population space taken up by a Cuirassier unit by 1, from 3 to 2.
  • Bank Wagon - Dutch
  • Just like fort, factory and outpost wagons the Dutch will be able to send a bank wagon.
  • Resendable Musketeers - Portugal
  • This will be an Age 4 card that will be resendable for the Portuguese.
  • Ranching - Unknown (Most likely all)
  • Allows cows to be trained in Livestock Pen.
  • Hot Air Baloon - All
  • Although the Hot Air Baloon is presently in the game, it will be boosted in The WarChiefs. The baloon will be permanent but move much slower.
