Units and Buildings
Units
The following units have been confirmed by Ensemble Studios or guessed to be additions to the European arsenal. The images of the units have been guessed from screenshots and may or may not be 100% correct.
Fusilier (Swedish)

- Heavy infantry, Mercenary
- One of the new mercenaries available is the Fusilier, a Swedish ranged infantry unit. This unit was planned for the original release but did not make it in after the Swedish civilization was scrapped. The graphics for this unit will be changed from the beta version already ingame.
Elmeti (Italian)

- Cavalry, Mercenary
- The Elmeti will be a lancer-like mercenary unit; it will be good against infantry. Similar to the Fusilier, the Elmeti was planned for the original release but did not make it in after the Italian civilization was scrapped.
Horse Artillery

- Artillery
- Every European civilization will be able to train Horse Artillery. It will be available from Age 4 onwards. The exact details are still unknown but it will be an alternative to the Heavy Cannon/Rocket. It will be a fast-moving, mobile artillery piece and will have a barrel longer than that of a falconet. This suggests that it will have a longer range and will deal fairly significant damage within a small area of effect.
Spy

- Infantry
- The Spy is a unit that is practically invisible (most likely uses a Stealth ability). They are for the European civilizations only. The Spy's specialty is exploring and killing Explorers/WarChiefs and mercenaries. They can be upgraded to an assassin with a home city card. This makes them even more leathal with bonuses versus most units.
Buildings
The following buildings have been confirmed by Ensemble Studios or are guessed to be part of the European inventory. The images of the buildings have been guessed from screenshots and may or may not be 100% correct.
Saloon

- Military
- The Saloon will be a military building used for training map-specific mercenaries; i.e. the units will only be available they fit the particular location of that map. The player will be able to train outlaws, pirates, and mercenary units.
Native Embassy

- Military
- Akin to the Saloon, the Native Embassy will be used for training map specific native units. To be able to train natives from the Embassy, the player will need to have formed an alliance with the natives first by building a trade post. The Embassy will be useful as it will mean natives can be trained nearer the front lines.
