The information on the Sioux techs and shipments that we have gathered below is purely speculation at this point in time and may or may not make the final version or be 100% correct. If you think we've missed something or there is something incorrect on this page please email us. Thanks!

Sioux Shipments

The Sioux Tribal Council is currently planned to be "Hunkpapa", although ES have said they may change this. The Sioux shipments will arrive from a Tribal Council, the native version of the Home City. The native shipments will be radically different to the European shipments, with the natives able to ship animals and send mercenary shipments comprised of native allies.

The Tribal Council will consist of several leaders, and each leader will provide cards of a different type. Like the Harbour provides naval and mercenary shipments for the European civs, the Sioux War Leader will provide military shipment cards. The Tribal Leaders will be the Chief, the War Leader, the Shaman, the Wise Woman, and the Messenger. One interesting feature is that the Sioux Messenger will provide 'combination' shipments which are comprised of resources from various smaller Sioux tribes - e.g. one shipment will consist of War Clubs and wood crates.

Here's what we know so far:

  • Animal shipments
  • The Sioux will be able to send tame animals such as cougars and wolves. Provided by the Chief.
  • Buffalo shipments
  • The Wise Woman provides shipments of buffalo, including a team buffalo card that sends 7 buffalo to allied players town centers. It is said that if a Sioux player plans ahead he can live off hunting for the entire game.
  • Sans-Arc
  • Provided by the Messenger, this will comprise of War Clubs and wood crates.
  • Burnt-Thigh
  • Also provided by the Messenger, this will comprise of Rifle Riders and Medicine Men.
  • Mercenaries
  • The exact nature and provider of these shipments is not yet known, but the Sioux will be able to call upon shipments of native mercenaries from allied tribes including the Cheyenne and the Comanche.
