This expansion would let you play as many of the countries formed in revolutions around the Colonial Era. Included would be:
Mexico (under Emperor Maximilian): Cavalry have more hitpoints and attack, especially anti-artillery attack. Their churches can train Aztec, Mayan and Zapotec units, although they are more expensive, particularly the Aztecs, than the normal types of those units. Covered Wagons train from the Town Centre. Art: Mediteranean
U.S.A. (Under Abraham Lincoln): Can train Ironclads, Colonial Militia and Gatling Guns without needing to revolt (they can't anyway). They can train the Schermagliatoro, a special Italian Skirmisher, as well as unique Riflemen, a unique cavalry rifleman which I wasn't sure what to call, Petards, Culverin, Dragoons, Hussars, and Musketeers. Covered Wagons train from Town Centre. Art: W. Europe
C.S.A. (Under Jefferson Davis): Can train Slaves from the Market, Farm, and Plantation. Most units have less hitpoints, but a far better attack than for other civs. They have most of the same units as the U.S.A., except that they do not have Schermagliatori. Slaves replace Settlers, and do not train from the Town Centre. Covered Wagons do. Art: W. Europe
Lone Star Republic of Texas (Under Sam Houston): Can train Apache from the Stable and Fort. They have a special cavalry unit, the Texian Hussar, which has better hitpoints and attack, especially vs. Mexicans. Covered Wagons train from the Town Centre. Art: W. Europe
Peru (Under Simon Bolivar): Units' morale (Attack: +2%, later 5% and 9%. Speed: +4%, later 10% and 13%. Hitpoints: +1%, later 2% and 5%.) is boosted by having the Colonel (Explorer) near them. The Colonel can be promoted through the ranks at the Barracks (Promotions: Brigadier, General) to increase the bonus. XP is earned quickly, due to increased public happiness towards the new democratic regime. Art: Mediterranean
Haiti (Under Francois-Dominique Toussaint L'Ouverture): Troops are very disciplined, so they march slower but have better attack and hitpoints. They also train quite slowly. Improvements research extremely fast. Art: W. Europe
And that's my last word on the matter.
