Yes, yet another of one my unlikely AOM factions but an interesting one. The Country folk are basically the English country people of the mid 19th century, which will probably make them overpowered and they have a spooky Halloween feel as well as some similarities with the Norse faction.
(I got the idea to do this faction after watching "The Living and the Dead)
The Country folk are very good farmers, hunters and foragers and therefore their gatherers gather food much quicker. However they are able to use industry as well such as building steam engine powered mines anywhere on the map to gather gold and can build train tracks like walls which allows quick unit travel. However they can't build forts and their defences are weaker. They make for it by being good at sieges.
The Country folk gather favour by building bonfires, you can build at least 10 bonfires, they provide a trickle of favour as you progress.
The Country folk hero unit is the landlord. A mounted rifleman that is good at taking out myth units (Like the explorer out of AOE3, can die but can be revived by having friendly units beside him.)
Villager: Basic gatherer unit, gathers food quicker than the gatherers of other units, builds structures as well
Torch wielder: Light infantry unit, villager wielding a torch, can burn down structures very quickly, vulnerable to enemy ranged units.
Mobs man: Pike man of the Country folk that uses a pitch fork as a weapon. Has light armour but is good against cavalry
Poacher: The basic "archer unit" of the Country Folk. Wields a hunting rifle that gives him the longest range of any archer unit. While he can take out units at one shot, he is vulnerable against cavalry and is slow at reloading.
Policeman: Policeman that uses a truncheon in melee and a pistol at close range. While deadly at short range, he is vulnerable at either long range or close combat.
Infantry:Having a red coat and albert shako, the infantry is the backbone unit of the Country folk late in the game. Equipped with a bayoneted breech loading rifle. Very good against all human infantry units but vulnerable to siege weapons and cavalry.
Artillery: Country folk siege unit. Vulnerable to cavalry but very good against buildings.
Gatling gun: Siege unit that is practically invincible against any kind of human unit, especially heroes, vulnerable to long ranged units and myth units.
Hunter: Mounted ranged unit that is good against cavalry but vulnerable to pike men.
Mounted riflemen: Mounted infantry, once the horse is dead, he continues to fight on foot.
Locomotive (Very fast transport, will crash if the track is destroyed, can also act as a fast trading unit)
Fishing boat
Clipper (Very fast transport unit that can fight)
Torpedo boat (Steam paddle ship that can act as a melee unit using torpedoes)
Ironclad (Very well armoured siege ship that is stronger than other siege ships)
Ghost: The Ghost is the basic myth unit of the country folk, a stealthy scout unit that can go over all terrain.
Blue cap: Small sprite that can act as a miner unit. villagers gather gold quicker when it is around.
Banshee: An Irish spirit that is similar to a ghost but has no direct attack. However she can scream which can poison enemy human units.
Witch: A magical woman that can turn human units into frogs, can take the form of a black cat when moving.
Grim reaper: A strong myth unit that can slice up many units at once with his scythe.
The Jersey devil: A huge winged and horned horse that can breath fire
Spring heeled jack: A humanoid that can breadth blue flames and can leap over obstacles like an anubite.
Sewer gators: A giant alligator that is amphibious, meaning that it can go on both land and water.
The ripper: Yes the famous Jack the ripper, a ghastly murderer that can take out any human units with one stab. Is vulnerable to other myth units.
The Horned being: A humanoid goat creature that is very strong and stealthy.
Horned God: A giant half humanoid goat like creature that can hide in the trees and leap long distances.
