We all know tcs have a lot of hp. This is part of what makes ffing viable.

But what if we gave these FFers an explosive suprise

A great majority of FFers will OPT for late FF times between 7:30 and 8:00. But what if they never made it to fortress? What if their town centre blew up in a strange.. um.. accident?

We all know Dutch are very fast, so let's put it to use...

Required Cards
3 villagers
700 coin
6 petards
Swiss Pikes

Recommended Cards
8 halberds
Hackapells
1000 wood
1000 food
8 skirms
9 ruyters

Basic Build Order
-4 vils to mine, 2 vils on crates and 1 vil to herd.
-Once you have 13 pop worth queued up move all vils to food
-First Card is 3 vils
-Age up with 200 coin + outpost
-While aging gather wood and build a trading posts
-If you do not have 100 coin, put a couple of vils on coin until you do.
-All vils back on food
-Build outpost as close as possible (this is crucial)
-Ship 700 coin
-Advance to fortress with exiled prince
-11 vils on coin and 5 on wood while aging
-Once you hit fortress ship 6 petards at your forward outpost instantly
-Build houses with wood and all vils on coin.
-Hit the enemy tc with 6 petards and BANG! destroy it before 7:30
-Use your gathered gold to follow up with swiss pikes to end the game.
-From here you can either ship more mercs by leaving all vils on coin or bank boom.

Tips:
-Use explorer + envoy to draw tower or tc fire from petards.
-If your enemy has no towers you may wish to ship hackapells instead of swiss to destroy all his vils asap.
-If you suspect a rush, abort immediately and take usual measures. This is strictly an anti FF strat

This has to be the best written strat ever...

On a more serious note, however, the strategy sounds good. Mopping up the enemy with swiss pikes and hackapell after the TC goes down is pretty good, and as Dutch you can crank out some skirms or hussars in the unlikeley event that the FFer has any sort of army to speak of.

I guess the main thing would be finding and killing the explorer and as many vills as possible.

This is a great idea, I should have tought of it :P. Just one question, at what level do the dutch get the 200 gold and a outpost wagon politican? I just hit 30, but haven't played a game at 30 so I am not sure what politician you get.

i've just tested it with a lvl 20 HC so i didn't get everything recomended, but it works out if you just get the wood and build your own tower and mine the extra 200 gold, not as well, but it works

Awesome strat, but won`t work against the Ports though.

exactly how fast do petards die to normal troops? could the rods shipments stop them before they get to the TC?

my freind came up with virtually exactly the same idea as this but with the ottos, his name is kemicalsupreme and hes top of the ottoman wins list... this seams to be a feasible strat vs rushes aswell but im not sure what he does afterwards...

good idea doing it with the dutch tho

I was so mad.... Something similiar happened to me. They some how got 1000 coin before they got 2 fortress. I had 8 pikemand and swiss pikeman at my base at 7:30 I was like OMGGG STUPI D1.08 I seriously literally (No lying i swear) .5 seconds it was all dark yellow no green on the little symbol at all when i just aged. I hate the new 30 seconds longer thingy.

Lamer: FF.
Me: Why?
Lamer: Cause you'll be in 1 age ahead of the other guys and have a better eco, plus you can turtle and since its on your TC + couple of towers you can't go wrong.

He tested it on me and I have to say it shocked me seeing 6 petards so early, then BOOM! TC down, vills scattered, only reason I survived after that point is spain laming.

And how exactly is he supposed to ship anything if you take down his TC before he ages?

At 7:00 the spaniard is screwed, he has no TC, no military buildings, in colonial, and 12 swiss pikes are coming in a minute to take down all his houses, outpost(s) and chase all the vills around the map and make sure you don't get another TC up.

Volt, those three shipments would take way too long, lol, and Highlanders? they require gold, and if your tc is down and you are on the run, gold and xp are the last things you will be getting.

Look. There are different things that will kill this.

a)pike rush
b)water boom (oh, my tc is down? *builds rax next to the shore, trains 30 musks, attacks*)
c)faster FF.

If I reach age3 before my TC is down you are dead.

Plain and simple.

You have NO eco because you didnt build any banks, and 12 swiss pikes wont do much vs 2 falcs 8 pikes 9 highlanders.

And why shouldnt I be able to get enough gold for highlanders?

I have time while I'm aging and while 2 falcs are ariving.

By the time 12 swiss pikes come to my base, my aging pikes, highlanders+2 falcs are waiting for them and I've just shipped 1000W.

Then I get 1 TC+stable+rax, train 10 skirms, ship 5 lancers and attack.

What can you do?!?!

That simple eh? How do you plan on water booming with a super fast FF (faster than 7 minutes), you're going to ship 2 falcs (because you FFed at 7 minutes with a boat boom and still have all your towers standing. And then have enough gold, which you're going to gather while your 2 falcs arrive, when your base is heavily under attack.

It only takes 5, but many time one will die.

Also, once it glitched, when destroying a Native's TC the petards blew up but it didn't do the damage

omg that was dumb beyond any believe, sorry to say.

Look: I reach Fortress @7:00.

You blow my TC up at 7:30 just few secs after my 2 falcs arrive.

I then move my force to my forward tower and protect it.

While I have been aging to fortress I've already gathered res (gold mainly+a bit wood for houses) so after my 2 falcs arrive I can ship 9 Highlanders TO MY FORWARD TOWER which is guarded by 8 pikes+2 falcs so by the time my highlanders arrive, your swiss pikes should be approaching my forward tower.

Now it is 9 Highlanders+8 pikes+2 falcs vs 12 swiss pikes and I have 1k wood on the way.

Believe me or not?

Sure, it may work vs slow FFs and maybe eco/semi FFs but vs a fast Spa FF it doesnt stand a chance.

If your TC is destroyed that doesnt mean you are dead.

How many games I've won without TC already.... you have no clue.

1 Tower is sooooo helpful and even if it gets destroyed-250W for a new one is poopie.
