No one has a 'motherland', Sul. At least, no one is sure were that collective motherland of humanity is.
I beleive people call them 'Mothercounties' anyway. And I've only ever heard British and German people speak of them at all. Seems odd that the two greatest post-Medeival Imperial Powers are so attatched to their 'Homelands'.

This is my sig.

True, it does suck.

But I deal with it.

Sul posts in OD not here. And it is the Motherland the Russians called there hope that the germans IIRC called it the Fatherland.

Right you are Dio.
I should've caught the Germans (I still have never heard Russians speak of their Motherland)

So, don't mind my new sig.

Generally those Russians who do speak of their motherland, tend to be Americans acting like Russians.

I'm actually surprised that Dio knew that. :/

And though you are right, Sunny... the Russians did refer to their homeland as the Motherland. Probably not as common today, though. Anyway, I was playing on the stereotype (the accurate stereotype) that Americans know nothing of other countries and their culture.
