Saffah, you`re@right! My very basic understanding of japanese tells me that is indeed the famed Windows 7-tan.

Sitting in an internet cafe at the moment, as the hotel I`m staying at in Kyoto doesn`t have a connection... I`m in the midst of a road train trip through western Japan and so far it has been a hit.

And oh, yeah, the weather here is nice.

Definitely take some time to get away from the major cities and see the countryside.

Jax, Kyoto was nice, especially it's surroundings. I took a trip to mt. Kurama, an Buddhist temple from the 8th century, situated about twenty minutes by train from Kyoto. Very nice and relaxing, all you saw were mountains. Central Kyoto was insane, more so than Tokyo. I lived just next to Shijo street, probably the most crowded place on earth on a Saturday evening.

Right now I'm in Kobe, which is my favorite city so far. It might even be better than Tokyo. It seems like everything I love about Japan is here - the chaotic shopping districts, the cozy restaurants, the skyscrapers and the temples in between, the mountains and the sea and the hysteric clash of everything...

Also I would upload pictures but for some reason this hotel has blocked uploading, in some peculiar way. That means no FTP, no Flickr, no Photobucket. I wonder why...

In the mean time please ask me for all details regarding japanese robot toilets.

Yeah they were. I had added both Botolf and OT to the saloon mod list when I was Seraph...Botolf was mainly serving as a backup guy in case we were all out of town. He wasn't really needed anymore though and he's still got his Seraph job elsewhere. Moshe never posted in the saloon, and I'm guessing he was just on the mod list for all of the forums. He's still green and working with scenario design though, and that's where he's really superb.

Well we did have a ridiculously high number of mods here, it must have been the most moderated place in HG (well apart from OD maybe), are we really that bad?

This month I have mostly been playing Zelda Breath of the Wild

You mods are so doomed.

Its so ironic were under such lax "supervision" with the most mods :S.

when was the last time someone (other than Saffah) banned a salooner? (I believe General II banned someone most recently)

Salooners generally don't need to be banned. You all behave, the fact that there's a lot of mods is a moot point.

I tried to be strict when I was a mod, mostly because, yeah, that's what I was told to be. I can't remember if it was from my seraph - I think I had a few - or if it was from the higher-ups, since I worked closer to them being HG's "official" graphics designer. Or maybe I just liked to enforce nazi-policies upon people I would never meet yet still had to answer emails to in the middle of the night regarding the unfair ban of forumer x's smurf y. Actually I think it's the last one.

Anyway, pikachures!

Those were some great pictures Oli!

True. But I just sort of added people on a whim at times. OT was intentional and planned, as was Kivy. The rest were added because they were staff at other places on the site and I liked symmetry. Oliver was on the list before I was Seraph, so he was grandfathered in. I added Elpea to the listing a day or so before I was deoranged to make sure we had an active oldtime Salooner with his fingers on the buttons. This was before Kivy was active in the saloon, but having two is helpful. Now that Saffah is around we're pretty much a self-regulating group.
