Note: This review is for level three only
Playability: 3
The map was fun and interesting to play. The main problem was terrible lag near the end.
Balance: 4
The balance was just right: not too hard but not too easy either. Its only problem was that the British had HUGE forces and a big base.
Creativity: 5
It was very creative. The map was original, as was the main idea.
Map Design: 4
Good map. The forked river was a nice addition, as were the bridges. The forests were decent, and the British fortress was quite good. The walls fit together, and the palace was a nice bit of building meshing. Much better than before.
Story/Instructions: 4
The story was good and easy-to-follow. Well explained. Good job on learning cines!
Additional Comments:
You've improved hugely, sawyer. I can't wait to see your update of hole-in-the-foot. |

I enjoyed your scenarios except for the last one, due to lag. I was doing okay, but it got so slow I had to resign. I noticed then that there was a gigantic army of enemy musketeers/cannons sitting near the enemy walls. I assume that's what caused the lag. Was it intentional to have such a gigantic army sitting there? |

Playability: 3
(Excellent! First two levels were awse to play! Really loved the first 2 levels. But the last level just didnt make sense. It wouldnt let me make any additional villagers because 50 trade was required... but it wasnt possible to obtain this trade??? Therefore, the third level wasnt really play able at all :S)
Balance: 3
(Balance was good, if a little bit too easy on the first 2 levels. Some of the enemies attacks were predictable and repetitive.)
Creativity: 4
(Nice cinematics which worked well. Really liked the treasure ideas in the first level with the sunken treasure ship.)
Map Design: 4
(Very good maps- nice and large. Good balance of land / water. Sometimes the small stream in Level 2 caused the ships to get "stuck" though. Otherwise, pretty awse maps.)
Story/Instructions: 2
(Needed help for level 3. No guidance for how to get the 50 trade to get villagers. Other levels were reasonable - good use of messages and objectives.)
Additional Comments:
Can anyone point out how to get villagers in level 3??

The villagers cost extra coin but I have no idea about trade(???)
There must have been a glitch when you downloaded it. Thanks for the rating! |

I know I've probably missed something on the site, but I'm new to it, so please forgive me if I sound naive. I am when it comes to these new scenarios for games. I do not yet know the language for the contemporary gaming language. To understand what I'm downloading and how to install it all in the right places, I need to understand what things are like MOD's, etc. There are several terms being used and without understanding what I'm reading, then I cannot make a good decision about how to install what 'map' where. For instance, I have the latest Age of Empires III Asian Dynasties, and I would like to get some fresh maps to play, but I don't know how to distinguish very well the lingo here. Will a War chief map play in the Dynasty game add-on? Do you see how I am confused? I've not downloaded maps for a very long time, years, in fact. Can anyone direct me to a place where I can study all this stuff. I used to make maps for Age of Wonders and others, but that is so long ago, and now I come back and find all these new terms. HELP!!!
Thanks kindly,
CC Ryder

Really enjoying the games so far, Parts 1 and 2. What helped me greatly in playing this and other scenarios is your suggestion about where to change the Difficulty Level [Scenario Editor].
I've been going crazy about that, there have been some games at a level I simply couldn't handle, and didn't know what to do about it. So thanks. :-)
About Part 3...
You have three items required to get more villagers; the first two I recognize, but the third is a mystery to me. What the heck is that, and how do you get it? Do have to have a consulate to get it?
Thanks for a great game..... |

I'm guessing there's an error with part 3... but to train settlers you should only need coin and food. Part 3 ain't that fun anyway, so feel free to use a cheat such as "ya gotta make do with what ya got" in order to complete the scenario. (there a cinematic that plays when you complete the scenario) |
