This is the Carolina build, Hispaniola works but not as well
5 Vils Food
2 Vils Wood
Spyglass in Mid-Ocean (Find location from Water Flag)
Build 1 vil onto wood (3)
Build 4 vils onto food (9)
Build 1 vil onto wood (4)
Build 2 vil onto food (11); total of 7+8 = 15 vils in Discovery Age
Build 4 Fishing Boats onto Coin (4)
Age up with 500 Food (Philosopher Prince) if you want more Settlers
Age up with 400 Wood (Quartermaster) if you want more fishing boats and towers
Cards: Schooners (at 2 min), TEAM Cheap Outposts (at 4 min) in Discovery Age
Cards: Colonial Militia if Hard Rushed, 2 Caravels if Rushed in Ocean (4th shipment)
Cards: Usually 700 Wood (3rd shipment at 6 min), Rendering Plant (5th shipment, if no sea competition)
Fortress Cards: 3 Caravels + 2 Caravels (6th and 4th shipments)
Place the first Covered Wagon near Berries/Trees, second in Fortress Age near Mines/Trees
Cover the new Town Centers with 2 Towers Each (Outposts), have 5-7 going up by 6:30-7:30 min.
Build the second Dock in Colonial Age after you secure base defense with towers
Use Levy Minute Men if under attack and wait for Colonial Militia
Train Musketeers/Halberdiers/Crossbowman and Hussars if you go on the attack
Switch to Cassadors + Dragoons + Artillery + Mercenaries if in Fortress Age
Build a Galleon to train Hussars down by opponent's main base.
Goals: 60 vils and Fishing Boats in Colonial Age by 12 minutes,
Water boom if attacked by land, Land boom if attack by water. Claim all Whales.
Use Portugal's Free Town Centers to outboom opponents and use Naval Shipments to reclaim ocean.
Use Caravels to protect docks from raiders, build economy until you have 90+ vils and Fishing Boats.
Politicians: 500 Food, or 400 Wood in Colonial Age,
Politicians: 1 Caravel + 400 Wood, or Age up very fast, or 6 Cassadors in Fortress Age
Politicians: 4 Settlers +3 Dragoons, 1000 Coin, or 10 Musketeers in Industrial Age
Use Market to buy resources with whale gold if needed.
Build Artillery with whale gold and throw them away as you would with infantry and try to pick off
and high-valued units like Mamelukes and Spahi with Organ Guns while you advance to Industrial Age.
Colonial Economy: Second Town Center build 5 Settlers onto either berries or wood.
Colonial Strategy: Use Minutemen when you lure enemy into unwise attacks with Cover fire from Towers.
Overall Aim: Delay opponent until you can get to Industrial (1v1) or Imperial (2v2, 3v3).
Industrial Age: 80-85 villagers before you hit Industrial Age, go for 115 Vils + Fishing Boats (1v1).
And now, on to the attack! Game should be over in 5-10 minutes after your Guard + Imperial Troops hit.
Your score should be 300-350 by 15 minutes, 550 by 20 minutes. |
