Balance: 3
there was goo balance in the map little of every thing but mostly just plain out war.
Creativity: 4
i Like how you built the fort i had to defend and by giveing the bad guys the same big guns made it even more of a head acke
Map Design: 3
well i liked the map design but how did i guess im gona be in the middle of the map with a river around me and one way in.. its just the same kind of maps i played in aoe 1&2. But it was still a good design.
Story/Instructions: 2
This map did not have a story line realy it was kill or be killed. Wich is not all that bad now is it. some of us like maps like this and some dont.
Additional Comments:

Although lacking some of the correct history, it's a fun scenario. I just went to San Antonio and I must say the alamo is very impressive and interesting. Would you like to join Lucky-Zion Designs? Check out our forums here -

Lots of fun...took forever to play and defeat this game.
Balance: 4
Nothing easy about this...but it is achievable. They keep coming at you and it is hard to build up, until later, a sufficient force to overpower the many computer enemies.
Creativity: 4
I thought this was a neat design. Having the "fort" in the missle of the lake was a good idea to keep the enemies funneled through the main entry.
Map Design: 3
The map has lots of enemy players and decent terrain.
Story/Instructions: 4
Pretty straight forward and understandable. Defend the fort and then expand to destroy the enemy.

Playability: 4
It's "playable" but not very easy. I played on moderate level. I had difficulty getting AI to do anything so I must have screwed up in the un-zipping portion. I gave AI a personality and spawning and they began attacking fairly quickly
Balance: 3
Fair enough, it's like the real situation the new Texans faced... about 3-5,000 Mexicans against 180 Texans.
Creativity: 4
I don't remember a moat being placed around the Alamo but in this case, it gives the Texans more of a chance.
Map Design: 4
very nicely done!!
Story/Instructions: 4
plain and simple... short, sweet and to the point!! 8-)
Additional Comments:
I've enjoyed playing it two or three times, now.
PS... My wife is not very happy with you because it takes a long time. 9-)

sadly ur triggers didnt work out somehow coz i killed all there was but no ""u win"" sign.
I looked up ur scen design didnt found a fault in the triggers .

Thanks for all the comments, people.
To change the difficulty level, you will have to open it in the editor and play it from there after selecting the level you want.
I just played the game again and found all the triggers to be working fine. Its that last enemy that is sometimes the hardest to find. I build up tons of gold and buy the upgrade from the capitol. It lets you see all the enemies.
There are quite a few similarities between this and the real Alamo. For one, the texans lost because the mexicans took over one of the main cannons at the fort entrance and turned it on the texans...same as the game here...so protect those cannons.
The funnest part of this game for me is pointing the cannons right in the middle of 30 mexicans. When the round hits, 15 bodies scatter...ok, I need to get a life.
Have fun![Edited on 12/10/05 @ 12:15 AM]

This was the first scenario I played before even trying campaign... I lasted one hour...
The second time I tried was after completing the campaigns, and discovering that you could capture the guns...
So it isn't actually so hard since you can rush with your first trops to capture two of the guns at the entrance side of your fort. As soon as you can just build walls around them and a barrack or two, you will never lose... and if you did so you probably also already terminated two of your enemies...
The 3rd and 4th canons are then not so hard to capture!
Suggested improvements: maybe reduce the enemies to 4, having one per canon, and build small fortifications around each canon so that it's not possible to rush! |
