This little tweak gives you the ability to rotate buildings in the game.
When you select a Settler, select a building, drag it to the desired place,
press and hold [shift] and roll your mousewheel to rotate. Then click and
building will be built like usual. To rotate your camera you now have to
press [alt] + mousewheel. |

This is a cool mod. I like it. Gives you the option to turn your buildings around during gameplay.
The only reason I gave this a 4 is becuase of its applicability to game play. Although its cool, I dont see how it would benefit us strategy wise. Its more of a eye candy maker built in to your game. Though this is still worth having, especially for those who like to record games and post them here. It makes for a nicer view!
Good job.[Edited on 11/13/05 @ 03:10 PM]

Unfortunately, spector, this will pop an error online. According to the guys down at ES, anything u change in the game.con will giv u an error, and this is a game.con file. |

Hey guys!!
thanks for the nice comments!
As for playing on ESO, I haven't tested it there cuz i only play singleplayer. Is there any *.con file i could edit to make this tweak work on eso? maybe i should create a user.con file which does the job? |

A good mod, I was waiting for someone to come out with this. It actually does affect gameplay somewhat because rotating buildings means that you can place them in areas where they normally wouldn't fit.[Edited on 11/15/05 @ 02:21 PM]

no you cannot make it work on eso lol(you must be new eh?) ESO only allows unaltered copys of the game(or, more specifically, the same versions of the game) to be played together(such as everyone would need this mod to play with each other on it) |

Red Storm, thanks for your reaction!! You are right about the gameplay, which I have found out about just today. I tried building a stable on one of the smaller 'islands' on Bayou which I could only fit by rotating it about 30 degrees.
Dark_Pegasus, you must not be kwowing what you are talking about ... I own all versions of the Age of Empires scene and Age of Mythology too. The last game was where ESO was introduced. I once used a similair mod like this for AoM. It DID work online, with an altered *.con file. |

I'd like to give your mod a go, but something is wrong with my installation.
I simply replaced game.con in startup folder but nothing happens :-(
Can anyone help me please?
thanks in advance

What do you mean with nothing happens? Doesn't your game work anymore or doesn't my mod work like it should? |
